im contemplating adding a small lift in back, I took off my spare from under the truck and it let the back lift up a little bit so it looks more even, but im gonna need a small lift in the back if I put my other spare in the back of it.

Superchips Tuner.......installed the mileage XS Save tune, took gas mileage from 175 miles on a half a tank and put me at 220 miles! So definitly good results so far at least from what it was :-)

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, you're saying you used to get 175 miles to a half a tank and now you're getting 230? To me, that's a pretty significant increase, but I see you just got your speedometer corrected too so perhaps that's the reason. Either way, we have similar set ups as far as engine, tires, custom tuning, etc. I wish I got that good a mileage.

I mean im just saying as far from when I put the tires on without the correction it was reading 175 which sucked, but now that I had the tune and got everything set to normal with the mileage tune its to 220....most if not all my driving is highway so Im guessing it helps to an extent..........Now I havent tried the performance tune to see what mileage I get, but ive installed the tune before and it gets the wheels rollin with no problem

I gotta believe this...

I noticed when I run the truck semi-hard, she'll get quite good fuel mileage... if I run it too low, it will get horrible gas mileage. If I run it too hard, it will get horrid gas mileage.

The 4.2l v6 is an odd engine to please sometimes. But it gets the job done.

I can't wait to do some other mods to it soon... I just need some free time to get it to my friend...

My plans on my truck are:

New tires
Smoke Stacks (done right for a gasser, not some 6" exhaust stack...)
Moon Visor
Side Steps
Custom Retracting Steel tonneau cover

Have you all considered figuring out what your actual MPG is?

Oh I know what my actual mpg is, I was more surprised in the increase he was seeing based on his tuning. Now I see that his speedometer was corrected between the two numbers stated so it makes perfect sense now.
