4.10 vs 4.30...and which programmer?

i already decided to go 4.10, but wanted to know what i'll really miss out by not going to 4.30. truck is reg cab with 305/55/20.

also, im not sure which programmer to go for. i wanted to know which programmer has what tunes that i can fully utilize. i believe some has a one-size-fits-all while others are customable? which one should i get?

4.10 is the best way to go in our engines. An if you have a reg cab it's even better. You won't miss anything from doing 4.30's especially if it's your daily drive. 4.30's on the highway I would do ever. Go over to V6F150 and get a xcal2/3 programmer from VMP, he knows the most about our engines and mustangs.

I'm running 4.10s with stock tires and rims. I plan on getting a tuner relatively soon. But the truck has a lot of great torque now.

Ya, no prob.

I like how I can put mine in reverse, and actually let off the clutch, without riding it in reverse. That used to be sooo annoying when I used to have 3.55s. Especially backing up a fully loaded trailer.

the 4.30 ratio is unavailable for the front differential, if your truck is 4WD...

He's got a 2005... they never came with 4x4 on the 4.2l v6.

But if you got an OBS, then yup, no 4.30 for the front on the 8.8 diff.
