How many miles and problems

Wanted to know how many miles screw owners have and what kind of repairs they have made.

I got 32K on my 2001 V8 4x4.

So far no problems. Took it in for tranny clunk at 4k miles. They did not fix anything and it still clunks once in a while on upshift at 18mph. But it runs great.

2001 SCrew 4 x 2 5.4 3:55LS
Superchip,Air Force 1 intake, dual magnaflows
Cut down 60/40 front seats with console/ rear TV/VCR
81,000 hard miles
normal wear: 4 new rotors at 65,000
3rd set of tires and brakes
tie rods at 60,000
16 mpg city, 22 highway (best)

I would have to say that this is no doubt the "best" daily driver truck I have ever owned.

'02 5.4 SuperCrew with 55K miles and the only problem I had was with the front passenger power window. It stopped working on my 3'rd or 4'th week. Took it to a local dealership where a friend works (I bought the truck out of town) and it turned out to be something came unplugged. Other than that, zero problems. Only mods are exhaust and K&N Filter.

2001 5.4 with 56K miles. Zero problems . Regular maintenance and new wheels and tires at 50k. No other expenses. That's good since gas is over $2.30/gal. here in Santa Barbara .

01 Screw, 5.4, 4x4, Lariat, 3.55 LS, towing package with 28K miles. So far, all is good. However, same transmission clunking as described above. I had the same problems in my 99 and 02 Stangs. Turns out there is a TSB on that. Got to lube up the splines on the drive shaft. Just haven't done it yet.

Actually there are 2 issues, one is the splines and another is a upshift problem around 18 mph.

I have my truck in the shop now and its not the splines. I will know in a day or so what the outcome is.

Angry

I HAVE 14K ON MY 03 4X4 SCREW AND IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH SINCE I GOT IT IN SEPTEMBER. LOTS OF LITTLE THINGS: DRIVERS DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR, INSIDE WINDSHIELD PILLAR CRACKED, LEFT FRONT SHOCK BAD, LEFT FRONT SUSPENSION NOISE, BOTH DRIVERS SIDE OUTSIDE DOOR TRIM FINISH FLAKING OFF, AND IS NOW IN THE SHOP FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. AT THIS RATE I DON'T THINK IT WILL LAST UNTIL IT'S PAID FOR. THAT'S A SHAME, IT'S A GOOD LOOKING TRUCK. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN GREAT TO WORK WITH AND MY CONCERNS ARE BEING LOOKED AT. WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.

2001 Lariat Screw 4X4 5.4L Tow Package 3.55LS
67500Km (42000 mi)
Getting (14mpg Can) (12mpg US) Mostly City since I had it

Puchased 2 weeks ago and since then I put:
2 Rear Shocks (KYB Monomax - Lifetime Warranty)
Front Brake Pads (Raybestos - Lifetime Warranty)
2 Front Lower Ball Joints (Napa with Grease nipple - Lifetime Warranty)
No Power for the Overhead console compass/temp, vanity lights, maplights and right rear map light. This was fixed when we traced the problem all the way back to the wiring harness behind the passenger side rear seat, right where the harness turns to go up the pillar. There was corrosion in the splice and the connection became loose. 2 hrs to find it, 10 mins to fix.

I knew I was going to have to get the mechanical work done when I bought the Truck and factored it in my offering price.

I also have the FORD rear drive train shudder on take off.

I Will need Tires B4 the end of this summer

I think that is all for now

2001 2WD 38K miles.

No problems as far as caused by Ford.

Spend too much money on mods, that is a problem caused by me

03 Lariat SCrew FX4, 6500 miles, 9 months old. I baby this thing.
No problems except I had the ac checked out because it just didn't seem to run as cold as my xlt's did. I've seen the other threads on this. In reality it may be just fine. It does cool the truck nicely, just not as fast as the one on my old supercab.
I love this truck!
