2002 4X4. 17,000 miles and lets see. Had the tailgate latch replaced as it kept locking all the time on it's own. Rear springs shackle came loose and started banging about 14,000 miles. That's it.

2001 Gen 3 4.6L Screw 4x2 30,500 Miles

Mods (wanted them, didn't need them )

Superchips Tuner
Magnaflow 15609 Stainless Catback
Edelbrock IAS performer shocks
Nitto terra Grappler 265 75 16's
American Racing Atlas rims
K and N Drop in

All I have done is regular Maint.....Oil changes, Tranny flush/filter, Fuel Filter, and tire rotations. other than that, no problems(he says while knocking on wood and fingers crossed), and I run her hard every now and then.

Oh yeah, I do have a little condensation in my 3rd Brake light...Will warranty replace that????

Tranny and Idler and Pitman Arm

Tranny was clunking and slipping after only 34,000. Barely got it to the dealer to be rebuilt under warranty. Recently bought first new tires @ 43,000 and Idler and Pitman arms need replacing. I don't think this should have happened with my driving habits. Pretty dissappointed in this. It is a truck right?

25K miles 03 FX4 4x4 XLT. SCREW - Two warrantied items, first was stress crack in windsheild, I don't off road so not sure why windsheild flexed. Other problem was rear-end whine, fixed underwarranty at 17k, no other problems at this time.

I have 12400 miles. The only problems are, A water leak on the right A-piller and noise from the rear end. The noise is not enough for me to worry about. Just hope its not a big problem later on. It has been off road four times. Towed moderate load. I am very happy with the truck.

Only major problem we had was a new 4.6l motor at 10,000 miles. Blew a head gasket on passenger side. Replaced motor at FORDS expense. Since then no major problems. Had all 4 seatbelts replaced for safety recall, recall was for front only but I was having the problem with rear belts also, so dealer swaped out all of them. A couple of window regulator problems. We now have just over 38,000 miles and going strong. Knock on wood!

2001 Gen III XLT

50,000 Miles

Problems thus far have been minimal and dealt with professionally:

Idle Air Control Valve
#4 Coil
Front and Rear Brake Pads
Some sort of spacing block came loose beteen the frame and the bed.

I'll need tires before too long.

2003 KR Screw - 10 months, 3900 miles. Not even broken in yet. No mechanical problems. Had the steering wheel and front console lid replaces due to leather issues. Otherwise, all is good...

Cool

176,500 miles on my 2001 SuperCrew.

The only non-stanard expense has been the Damn coil packs.
I've replaced all of them. !!!!!!!! Driving on cruise control, you'll
feel a slight engine studder. Look at the instrument panel......
yep, the check engine light will come on and the truck will
run nasty.
I've changed the gears to 4.10's (4X4) ran 305-70-16's
switched to 285-75-16 and bought the Hypertech magic box.
To correct for the speedo error, a shop in the Atlanta area wanted $240.00 the magic box was $340 !!!
