Yeppers, I'm starting to up the pace on them. I keep mentioning the f150 site and all the comments about how long it's taking. They are getting the hint. I told them since the guy that was doing most of the work on my truck got fired when I come to work on the side it will be my deal. That way I know it's getting done right. The other guys in the shop agree with me and offer up advice. Danny has a slammed 03 harley notched and all. He says my work is far better than the clown that got fired. He wants to do some shows with me cause we are the only two around here that have super clean Srews.

That's nice that the guy working on yours wasn't even good enough to keep his job . . . but I'm glad you're seeing at least a bit of urgency now. Bet it feels good to hear how good your work is! Try to snag some pics of your truck with Danny's when yours is done.

Thanks Pat. The only time I've ever used a spray gun was to coat large steel objects with enamel paints. And that's just a couple days before the Rust-Oleum can was gone, so I never thought about shelf life. I know interior house paints seem to last a couple years

Since I was working at the shop the last couple of days I got the bed on, wiring to actuators and bed lights reinstalled, fuel door, bed and tailgate caps back on, rear inner wheel wells, swaybar brackets welded, wiper cowl and wiper arms painted black, bed liner re-installed. door handles, grill surround, bumpers, front valance, license plate light housings, and revamped tonneau cover all primed, guide coated and wet sanded ready for paint. I was threatened that they will all be painted tomorrow. I will post pics if it happens. I don't work my reg job till 1 so I will be there first thing in the morning. Fingers are crossed....My truck has been gone way to long and I having with drawls..lol

I can't go more than a few days without feeling antsy, and I check on it at least twice a day, starting it up at least once. "Threatened" they they will be painted, I like that
Ironic how much work you got done in a matter of days!

Some pics I took. It's not polished out yet but you can see some of the blue pearl.

Thanks Guys. I have been working nights to get some dignity health clinics re done and then back to days today. Back to nights monday... I will get more pics as I get the opportunity. The owner wants to get my truck appraised so I insure for a dollar amount instead of just regular coverage. They said my truck is far from stock and this would protect me in the event something happens. On another note I decided I want to tint the windows a bit darker.... Once again,,one project after another. I will have to add it to the list. This release/ hobby...Is a god sent sometimes. Nothing like clearing your mind of a crazy week at work then trickin' out your ride. I also found out today that my paint is not water based at all. This county does not require it. Which means I'm getting a real polyurethane 3 stage paint job. It should hold up much better than the water base stuff. That's one bonus for living here I guess...lol

Wait, there exists an non-completely-asinine county in KrAZyFornIa?! How dark can you go on tint there, like 32% or some weird number IIRC? Mine is super illegal in all states . . . lol

I really don't know about getting your truck appraised though. I'd stay away from doing that, or at least sit down and think and do some research first. Paying higher insurance premiums for an extra (not daily driver) vehicle that is in very low accident risk doesn't sound fun. And I think the insurance company would still hoe you on value in case of an accident even with an appropriate appraisal.
