I've been wondering what was going on with this! Glad it's almost done!

It's bad enough for me that my drop parts show up tomorrow the day I leave town....Oh well, took the first day back off from work to do it.

When did your truck have the grey wheels, blue hood stripes, and no chrome like the pic in your "latest pics" album? I always thought it looked like your sig pic the whole time, but that picture was pretty recent.

In other news, I saw a white pearl flat paint job. Gorgeous, one of a kind... Might snag some pics once i start working on it.

I was talking with the Ol' lady about how long it's taking. When he was moving his shop and needed everything now I busted my *** for 2 months making it happen and I am sad to say I'm not getting the same attention in return. Sucks ***** but they have my truck ripped apart, they do good work, but I guess returning favors in a timely matter is not a priority.

Ahh! It has the same bumper/valance, right? That, and the way it sat, along with what looks like a Transformers badge under the F150 fender badge, were what made me think it was maybe yours.

Saying this never having worked personally at a shop like that, I don't understand why some work on 100 different projects simultaneously, and extremely slowly at that, instead of knocking them all out quickly a few at a time. I notice this mostly with restoration shops. I know lots of people can only afford to pay in increments, and it's sometimes beneficial to have tons of vehicles (and their paying owners) all at one time, but still. And if some scratched your back, they'd best have priority. If I were the owner, I'd want your favor repaid and your damn truck out of my shop and off of my conscience!

No ****! I work there on the side when crap is slow. We got the bed on today and Danny started the color sanding too. He is finding stuff missing and I'm about to blow a gasket. I have painstakingly kept that truck in pristine working order since new. Something breaks or starts looking not to my standard I replace it or fix it. They said Kevin the owner was **** about stuff being right... I'm going to show them a whole new level of that. I can spot crap work lickety split. No offense to body and paint guys but I have and can do everything they do plus all of my 27 years of communications and remodel or do additions to homes and never have a problem with inspectors. Piece of cake. I never thought that It would come to this but Some people value themselves or work over everyone else. I worked for 2.5 months everyday after work and weekends to get this..... But what am I really getting.... time will tell. All that being said... work has been slow so I have had the opportunity to work on my own truck because they fired the crackhead that was working on it. I got the valance, grill surround, bumpers and pad all primed and guide coated and wet sanded today. Extended the front of the tonneau cover with glass to match the bed better and scuffed the rest of the cover. Next will be wet sanding those areas on the cover. Can't believe I'm getting paid to work on my truck. Now I need to locate the missing parts And I will feel a little better. 3 Months is ridiculous though!

What the hell did they lose? That's another problem with not doing crap in a timely manner, it's hard to keep track of every little thing! Another thing, how painting things at different times work? I know they have machines now that mix "perfectly," but is it really an exact match when everything is painted with different batches at different times? Or I suppose it's possible to make one big mix and store the unused for later? Never knew how that worked, especially for verrrry streched out time frames.

I'm sorry that it's taking so long and coming to all of this, buddy.
