You lucked out. How is you seal holding up? Mine was falling off and pancaked. I got a new seal and tailgate
seal pretty cheap off Ebay and it was good quality rubber.
My seals seem fine. She stays in the garage 99% of her life the last 5 years or so, so things don't age as quickly as they do out in the elements

Ya, the seal on mine was pancaked and the adhesive that held it on was failing and was falling off. I also added a edge metal to the front of the bed to give the seal more surface to seal.
I finally got something done I've been wanting to do for a long time. My back and legs have been giving me hell for a while now. I was finally feeling a bit better and went for it with the help of a few ****tails. I got a 3 gauge pillar pod and 4 new gauges. I replace the volt gauge in the column pod and added oil pressure, trans temp and water temp. I got the oil filter spacer adapter and a 1/8 NPT male to 1/8 NPT female to extend the trans temp sensor so nothing is in the path of the fluid. I got the adapter for the intake crossover port. I believe it was 1/2 NPT male to 1/8 NPT female for the temp sensor. while I wired the new gauges in I installed a bunch of new split loom and 2 extra wires. The extra wires will be for a A/C over ride for the E-fans when on the freeway. Flex-alite directions have the fans on the entire time the A/C is running but it's not needed on the freeway at 70 mph. I wish I could use some type of speed sensor to cancel the fans at freeway speeds. If anyone knows how to set something like that up please let me know.
Well, last week I picked up a low miles 01 Expedition XLT. It has just about everything a XLT has offered except a sun roof. The paint was pretty shabby but used that to get a excellent price that I couldn't but did walk away from...lol The wholesaler wanted to much, I gave him my number and why. He said he couldn't do that and I told him the same. I left and got about 10 miles away and he starts texting me with better numbers but not what I wanted to pay. In the end the price was cut in half to what I wanted to pay and I have the Expedition I've been looking for for 8 years.
The pics upload is different for some reason so I'll try to figure it out.
Well I Got a new to me ride. I've been looking for quite a long time for one with low miles. I used to have one but divorce has a way of screwing things up. Luckily I was able to keep the f150...lol When I got it, it was pretty sad looking. I color sanded and buffed on it for 4 1/2 days to bring it back to life. I've already done a few things to put my stamp on her and I don't think she's complaining..lol As soon as I got home I changed her shoes to the 03 Lightning wheels with almost new Hankook RH06's I already had from the Screw.

Not yet but When I do the brakes I will put in adjustable steering stops. For now I'm just not cranking the steering to hard. I got a few more things done. I glassed in some aluminum brackets into to lower fiberglass bumper cover. I installed Lightning heads and turns. I also sanded the mirror caps smooth and painted them too. The wiper cowl looked like *** so I cleaned it up and painted it and the wiper arms in a semi-gloss. I also painted the grill surround and installed 4mm billet grills. The Expedition looks completely different already. I will be working on the audio rain permitting.

It sure is looking like it..lol I'm in the process of doing a Kenwood Double din. I upgraded the doors speakers to Kicker KS series 6x8's and I also added a Polk DB1001 silk dome tweeter to all the doors too. Since the truck has enough stereo for 5 or six vehicles I'm going conservative on the Expedition with a Rockford Fosgate powered 12" sub for the lows. I did some measurements and found out that if I ever feel like being crazy the Subs and amps in the back of the truck would fit in the back of the Expedition. Talk about rattling some teeth..lol
