Looks great all put back together man! Congrats John! Now time to pop a few tops and finish that interior. LOL! Such a very clean look. I love the changes you made on the front end especially, ditching the chrome and going PTM too! Happy Thanksgiving too bro!

Thanks fellas! Last night before I got home the Ol' lady was so excited for me she washed everything down so Nelly would have a clean place to park. That was pretty damn cool. Happy thanksgiving to you all. I ate, slept and then ate some more...lol This morning I wiped down the interior and vacuumed her out. Sprayed the back side of the door skins with Boom Mat made by DEI. Two cans was plenty for all four doors. Tomorrow I want to get the back seats out and maybe start the dynamat on the doors and rear floor of the truck.

So Today I got the rear seats, subs and old amps out. Sprayed another layer of sound deadner in the doors and inside the sub box just for good measure. I added a wider layer to the front baffle of the sub box to clean things up and give me a better spot to mount the amps. Used construction adhesive to laminate the two together and 1.25 inch screws. Got the rear center console mocked up and temp mounted so I can figure a few other things out. I will take pics of the console set up tomorrow but here some of the sub box mods. I'm gonna carpet the box in a different carpet than last time so it matches better. Here's a pic of the old set up and what I'm doing now.

Today I got a few more things done in the rear and got all the door wires upgraded. The new baffle is carpeted and the subs back in.
All the wire comes up under the rear console. Got a few of the interior parts painted too. Installed new 6 awg wire for the subs.
The subs are Audiobahn Alum12Q's 1000 watts rms 2000 peak. The Q series subs where some of the best around back in the day.

Today I got the sound deadener and kick panels installed. When I started up the truck it was much quieter inside the cab. The sound deadener is GT Mat 50 mils fiber reinforced aluminum backed. It took about 45 minutes a door. kinda of a pain in the ars but well worth it. I even put some behind the door where a factory hole for a 6 x 9 sits.

Got some more done over the last few days. tell me what you think. I'm taking my time trying to make sure It comes out right. A lot of custom fitting involved.
Needed some space behind the amps for ventilation. I ended up using some heat shrink and small washers to create these. It worked out good giving me
the 3/8 of an inch spacing to help keep the amps cooler.

Very clean work, especially on the front-row speakers.
