just the big 3 would be a bit short

you can never do too much... but the absolute last thing he needs is a cap

i just got back from the shop and my ears are ringing.
the guy at the shop was real cool and swapped it out for an alpine pdx1000.1 for only 50 more bucks.
the pdx1000 pounds that w7. he said it gets 1000 watts rms at 2 and 4 ohms.

So you're telling him he needs to spend $1000 on a new alt, battery and wiring to implement his $1000 subwoofer and amp. That seems a bit drastic. There is a reason why caps are popular, they're meant for those people on a budget.

It's completely wrong to tell everyone looking for a new car that they must buy a Ferrari because "you can never do too much". That's essentially what you're doing.

dont do alt to battery unless you do the alternator. then it must be fused. all ive done is a better battery and upgraded grounds.

x2 a new alternator is overkill.

1. the last thing he needs is a cap

2. i had a brain fart and thought he was getting a 3000w amp (1000w @ 1 ohm). thus needing a new alt

3. what the hell are you talking about with a ferrari?

How do you like that amp? I am about dead set on the jl 1000/1 v2 until I saw that alpine on sonic. I just don't know about alpine and amps.
