Glad to see you making some progress on your install Styx.

You ever notice, no matter what you install on the substage, its always needing more......

I had a coworker in my truck last weekend and turned the system to my max setting, He was about to get out the truck, He said its way to loud and the bass hits was jarring his spine, I said its not bad, but not there yet....

So my reply was buying another 12" Profi Sub and a Cadence A7HC to drive them at 1400W @ 1 ohm.....

Hell, after I get this installed, I guess next time I'll break his spine...

Going to be awhile before building another box, should be breaking ground finally on my garage in about a week or so....

I'm used to ported systems that can do 140+ these 4 sealed 8s are probably stuggling to break into the 130s. I knew I shoulda done the 4 15s in a bandapass blowthrough... or maybe 8 12s.. oh well maybe down the road. the 8s hit hard but thy botom out pretty easy right now. I havnt really tweaked everything yet tho, I hastly set the gains and went with it. I had to pull a TON of mibass out too. at this point I really wish I had my 3sixty.2 and rta seup

ok so..... It was dark and I was hooking **** up kinda fast last night. the two subs and amp on the left got hooked up right... the two on the left got the negatives crossed.. so the one wasnt hooked up at all and the one was bridged getting ALOT more power than I wanted it too... it was bottoming out bad.... measured .5 ohms on that one and 1.3 on the other three so I went ahead and but it out of its misery and the amp went into protect mode, I thought it was gone too but it works now. so really I only had 2 subs running at about 50% volume and one runing 100% and one not at all.... they might get loud after all once I get them hooked up right

So did you end up frying one of those eD's? Also, I found an Audison LRX 4300 for sale. I think I remember you saying that you wanted another Audison amp.

ya I fried one. after I fired it I cranked up the other two and got some decent output.... I think the 4 8's might work after all. once I hook them up right of course. I'll have DB numbers on the 27th

Speakers are awesome... Bah bah bah bah BOOM.

Or take a tweeter and run about 10x the wattage at low Hz... It will smoke and sometimes blow up.

GUESS WHAT!!!!!!

I didn't reach the thermal limit... it was mechanical. where the woven tinsel leads meet the former there is a glob of epoxy... that epoxy cracked and the thin vcwire flexed to the point of breaking... the VC's still checked out ok after getting ALOT of watts. I know I had about 19ish volts going through each channel but briged I have no clue.. I'm estimating about 35-40.. the new replacement driver is here and I have to break it in. I'll have dB numbers in ONE WEEK

and since noone reads this I might as well ramble on.... I have my ddx-7015 at 27.... amps send about 300 watts to each sub... 28 = almost 450w gonna need to watch it alltho thermally i know they can take the abuse... mechanically not so hot

I got to test real quick with the windows up... 20 Hz is IMPRESSIVE the whole dash moves and the doors flex pretty hard. not sure where my peak freq is but I'll find it next week... 140 here I come!!!!
