I'm doing some testing with the 7kv.2's looks like the power limit free air is about 60 watts at 33 hz (40 less than ed told me) more than that and the voice coil bottoms out.. altho they took about 135w @ 62hz on up to 150w @ 80hz...... for ****s I gave them about 200 @ 80hz which gave me that smell we all love.... vc's still check out looks like the dual 4's were a good choice after all since my amp does 175x2 @ 2 ohm.... on a side note that plate amp I bought that was supposed to be 350w rms @ 4ohm can do way more at least 400w @ 4 ohm........ which is about where the stock 5x7's blow

Its actually considered a digital eq. And can be set up to run as an active crossover.

progress update.... ya money's tight and progress is really slow. so I torrented the rta program, now I need to buy a mic and preamp. it'll be a wise investment and should be less than $100. I'm also doing a lot of research on RCA's right now. I'm going to have to make my own since need like 7 pairs of odd lengths, oddly enuff this has been the hardest research iive had to do... so much misinformation and bull in the world of rca cables.... anyone who pays more than 20 bucks for a pair is a fool. I mean come on. I should get into seling snake oil cabes...... speaking of which, I found these snake oil filled cables:
http://cgi.ebay.com/OIL-INJECTED-TUB...QQcmdZViewItem

ya, for $6600 a foot I too can build you the finest set of rcas money can buy, featuring 2 10awg cryogenically treated twisted platinum coated 99.9% silver conductors each insulated by teflon coated egyptian llama hair that has been hand woven by italian pigmy's suspended in a snake oil filled teflon coated silicon jacket featuring a three layer drain shield consisting of a titanium foil inner layer, 100% coverage 24k gold coated silver wire mesh follwed by a hand braded copper clad aluminum mesh fo the ultimate clarity and sound quality.... I could tell you bout the highest of high quality super proprietary audiophile grade solderless 14 piece solid platnium diamond blasted compression rca connectors but the info is top secret and might cause your head to explode and you would die.. .. be warned one listening session with these cables will cause you to crap out your mouth, give birth out your belly button. and your man ***** will lactate before your head explodes and you die

damn, not bad for 7" drivers. Let me know how you like those RSDs and if all the hype really is true...i might go with those. Price is just too tempting for the quality people claim to be getting from them.
