mid CA off road trip?
as much as I don't want to, its looking more and more like the zuk isn't going. Or, if it does, its going cage-less and not doing much, just take it out and test out the suspension a little bit. It would be nice to see how the shocks are working, and just test out different parts. Looks like the Ford is going to be doing most of the wheeling yet again. LAME !!!
ya, from what I hear, its pretty bad. Shattered in 8 places, and the swelling is too much for them to see his face, let alone start doing anything. So they have to wait for the swelling to go down, so they can get in there and see what they can do. Looks like he is out of commission for awhile.

I hope he recovers soon.
Don't worry about bringing the Sammy... there will be plenty of other trips, and lots of time to make it even pimper (is that a word?).
It is confirmed: My friend will be rolling in with me Sunday morning at about 8:30am with his Jeep. I'll probably do some light-duty trail runs, but likely riding with him for the bigger stuff.

ya dude, the guy is ****ed up !! I was talking to his brother and he was saying he can't talk, can't lay sideways (cause of pressure and pain) and just is laying there. He can't eat, so they have him all hooked up at the doc's . Sucks man, he'll be ok tho.
Tough sum a bitch.
Semi-good news: Bought 16' of DOM tubing and am going to try and make a roll "hoop" type deal. Something that will at least kinda protect me ! It will have some bracing and should be good to go. I'll letcha all know.

Guys, FYI bring rain gear just incase. There is a storm expected in the area early next week, but as you all know so well they oftentimes come in earlier then expected.

x2... i knwo most people hate it, but we are more then used to camping in the rain. Makes the wheeling a little better and a lot harder !
Anyone know if that mud pit will be.... muddy ? Or does it dry up ?
And sitting where I am, looks like we are going to be getting rain here any second !

and i guarantee that mud pit will be slick. lots of ppl wheel there in the spring, keeps the mud nice and goopy and with the rain we'll get tonight/tomorrow, especially up there in the hills at the park, you'll be able to get plenty dirty.
itll probably rain there tonight, however patterson is about 20-25 miles east of the actual park. the rest of the week the highest percentage for rain is 30%. in my experience the weather.com numbers are usually 30% high so a 30% would be 0% etc. therefore im guessing it should be real nice there, not too hot and not too cold at night but probably no rain. ive also heard that the mud pit is year round wet, no idea on depth though.

Then we will have to send you in first to find out !!

As long as there are other big trucks around, i'll be more then willing to "test the mud" .
ill go first but ill stick to the edge. from the radar scren it looks like its been raining in the patterson area so there should be some mud for us this weekend
we got 80 plus degree weather and only sun for the weekend, however it seems like they change it every day so im assuming somewhere in the high 70s or low 80s but still no rain.
