Hey MT, just wanted to double check. I know you said you were going to pass on the tires b/c of the cage cost. Now that you are doing it yourself, do you want me to bring them?

 

I think I am still going to have to pass BIG. Sorry man, but beleive it or not, this has gotten more expensive then I thought. Thats about $300 worth of tube, plus I gave the guys over at the Cat house $150 for all the help they gave me. And I still need to do the front when i get back (my buddy Rob said he would have charged me $500 for the full cage !! Had no idea just how good of a deal he was giving me til now)

Like I said, I know its tall, but I wanted to keep my head OFF the ground if **** does happen. And na, I don't think I am going to do any more to it for now, its pretty darn sturdy.

* and Dan's Jeep did get done. Its finished and will be going on the trip.

i posted maps to the gas stations/exit and to the specific park on page 26. i think the exit is sperry, the gas stations are on the left back over the freeway, the park is right and then right again on del puerto canyon. see you tonight

When's the next trip ?

 

i want to apologize to anyone i didnt say goodbye too-everyone was spread out and we were trying to get out of there. as we speak im uploading all the pics and videos i took over the trip and ill like you guys to the album, im also going to put the better videos on youtube(mt-tell lauren and jessica their youtube famous now)

gotta say it was a blast and it was nice to finally put faces to more of you forum guys. i say pismo is next sometime this summer.

Wish you guys would have stayed longer. You guys missed some of the best wheeling. I went up the hill they call the widow maker. So narley, will never do it again. Tornadom almost got his truck to flip end over end. Well, not really. However, he went down a trail that i thought he would not make and his back end flew up. My heart seriously jumped Video should be up in a couple days and it is crazzzzy I have to get the video from my buddy. Plus Josiah's crazy asz mud pit run. You drive your truck like a mad man.

 

Sure was good times. That everclear hit me like a brick, and by the look on your face you didn't fair too well either MT, that was ****ing priceless I just wish I could remember it better. What I'm trying to say is, I'll buy a bottle off you next trip if you can get another one! Jeremiah, you were good entertainment all night too, you and MT both have a funny sense of wit. What username on here was the guy in the white cherokee? It's not that I forgot anyone, it's just matching up the usernames with the birthnames we called you all by. Everyone who showed up brought something to the table (metaphorically) at least for me, the girls took care of my dog, I drank my beer and then some...I owe a lot of thanks to most of you guys.

And I can't recall who he was with, but please tell the guy who paid my entry fee thanks a ton.

best of luck with the airbags. I wish the cameras were rolling when that happened. Post your pics when you get'em in the 04-06 forum or someone text me when you post them here, and yeah Tornadom you are crazy dude, that felt like a gnarly close call, haven't seen the pics yet but they never do it justice. Jeremiah, I wish I had a camera rolling when I was riding with you for two reasons, you were close as chit to sliding into that rock, and your expressions cracked me up. You were catchin your breath and kept telling me, "dude, my ****ing heart is racing". I'd have been scared too though.

 

Ya, I wish I hung around but just wasn't feeling it. Steve was feelin ****ty and I tore up my feet (have NO idea how the hell I did it tho ?) and was pretty beat.

Lets get these videos up man ! I didnt even get to see the mud wrastlin ! Plus, I did a **** poor job with the camera, but i got a couple, i'll show ya tomorrow.

Just to throw it out there, Plannin a Lake Pillsbury trip memorial weekend (May 23-26) and then headin out to Cow Mountain June 6-8th or so. If your interested your more then welcome.
