Carnagie sucks for 4x4's you basically have the creek bed to play in, but everything else is restricted to ATV and motorcycle use. Frank Raines has some excellent 4 wheeling (and is a nice 40 minute drive from me ) and the upper ranch at Hollister Hills is suposed to be pretty awesome.

PS. I'm down.

huh i was watching videos of carnigie and it look pretty fun, mainly mud holes and flat ground(better for my 2wd,probably not too much fun for your 4wheelers) but it also looked like there was a rock staircase and other stuff. i was driving down to modesto this weekend and it was alot closer than i thought it was but raines and hollister are still not that far.

Im down. I agree, Carnegie doesn't = that much fun. But I haven't been there, just what I heard.

Somewhere like Frank Raines would be sweet (i have never been, but we have ALL seen Josiah's video). Hollister is insane, and the Sami should be good to go on that trip.

Cow Mountain ? Always up for that. It has the most trails out of any of these places, trails for 2wd and crazy trails/obstacle courses for the more intense guys. The place is huge, and would be fun to get a group up there. Plenty for everyone.

Max: Pick the dates your available in April, I will start getting guys together and I'll make sure to give plenty of notice, so we don't have a bunch of flakes. I say late-ish April.

I've been to all of them. Raines is a twisty road going into the park, and the park itself is fairly steep terrain. There are hills, some rocks in the creek bed, and plenty of trails. There are usually a lot of people on the weekends, but a Tues or Weds would likely have us as the only people in the park. There is a park/campground with playgorund equipment and good hiking for people that are into that, and plenty of areas to relax.

We took my Friend's 1985 Ranger 4cyl, 2wd (actually, a one-wheeled wonder) out to Raines, and had a blast for the day. He got it stuck one time, I got it unstuck.

I have a 3" x 18' recovery strap waiting to be used (again).

I know Dan will go again Madmax. And a buddy (Dallas) said he wants to go (he was the one with the flu last time) he has a "nice" dodge 1500, and tows a Jeep YJ lifted pretty good, 35" tires, locked front and rear, and beefy winch up front.

You met Mark (went to his apartment) he'll bring his Dodge. There are plenty more, but they are the ones who "may" come. With enough time, more people will come. Last trip just turned out to be bad timming (still fun tho).

Also, I think Frank Raines would be fun. Hollister requires all proper paper work, and I have my Zuki registered as "no-op" meaning can't legally operate on OHV roads. Hollister has a Ranger station where you check in... dont think that would go over too well (Dan would be in the same boat)
