Ya, Max there will be plenty of empty seats, you can alway ride with someone if your not wanting to take yours out.

As for leaders, thats why we have trailered rigs ! If they break, tow em back to camp, no harm no foul !

Alright, time to go BBQ it up at the beach.

I'm 20 years young. If this trip goes well I'll plan another big one out to Pismo like I used to. It was just difficult getting a hold of everyone, and making sure everyone had the days off that's all.

We can all meet, there is a good selection of restaurants right before you take the windy 10 minute backroad drive to the Frank Raines off highway vehicle park, in patterson. I'm going to bring my yellow lab, so if you bring a dog make sure he gets along with others. I would like to stay the night, so if you guys are going what are you plans as far as accomodations go? They have a nice little campground and hookups if you bring a trailer.

I have a sportztruck bed tent which is what I will use if enough people stay the night.

I'm the old guy of the group at a geriatric 23 years old.

I say we meet at the 76 station, or at Denny's. I always meet at the 76, but Denny's is often used for meeting.

Cell phones usually don't work in the canyon, so meeting up before you enter is a good idea.

The area we could meet at has a Denny's, Wendy's, Jack/Box, Subway, Quizno's (I think), Starbucks, and a slew of others. Add in some motels, a few gas stations and you get the idea.

Starbucks sounds fine by me.... I will need my last bit of real caffeine before heading in!

No worries Tornadom, I may bring a couple older buddies, if they tag along, you wont be the only gramps up there ! Got people going from 18-19 and up to 25-26 or so (if they all go)

Josiah: I plan on staying through sunday. I normally just sleep in my truck, but sometimes bring a tent to sleep in (I have extras if anyone needs, let me know). If the weather permits I sleep in the bed of the truck, but I dont think that'll work this time around, we'll see. Although, after this trip I might buy the bed tent. Want to see one in person first. Whats your choice in Brew ?
And hope you like whiskey.

Actually, if yours is like my truck all 4 work. I thought the same as you until i took it out mudding. All 4 wheels were spinning. I have an fx4, i don't know if it makes any difference.

I will be coming up early Saturday and staying the night, I have to work Friday night. I will need to know where you guys will be staying the night to meet up with you. I can worry about that later though. I'm looking forward to this trip already. Oh, and I guess i'll be the grandpa at 26.

^^ were you stuck ? and spinning all four ? Or moving ?
When your moving it will look as if all of em are throwing mud. And your rear is probably Limited slip, allowing both rear tires to spin when needed (in a nut shell). You got some pics of your rig Big50 ?

And yes, I am getting way stoked on this trip. The gears wont be in the truck this time around, but I am getting more Samurai parts today, will start bulding her back up this week !

So far: I have a lifted Nissan Pathfinder coming. A PSD pulling a Jeep (Dan), A Dodge 1500 Hemi pulling a Jeep wrangler, a lifted Dodge 1500 with solid front, and a little stocker wrangler on muds. All going for sure. Plenty more are "maybe".

nice were going to have quite a crew going, james i sincerly hope that you guys all stop by my place, that many rigs in my parking lot would be awesome simply for the looks of amazement alone o and i might be borrowing one of those tents of yours. im going home this weekend so ill see if i can snag one from there. anyways im sure that all these places to meet are in one parking lot area so it wont be hard to find everyone. what exit should we take to get to these places tornadom? just the one to get out to raines or one before or after it?

big 50 and tornadom-what are your guys names?
