Keep me posted. Next Saturday is also me birthday.

With my limited time today, I was able to get my drivers side Alpine components in... just a little bit of plastic cutting involved.

Lots of cutting, test fitting, etc. The passenger side door should go much smoother tomorrow.

Have not posted in a while, but I have been following along. krohbar congrats on the new addition to the family.

Since everyone has some sort of mod going on I will show my small mod. I did the DWV mod to my intake. Took off the cone end of the intake and added a 3" pvc pipe. However you cannot buy black pvc anywhere in Lincoln so I had to use white and paint it. In the process looking for pvc I found some thin walled stuff and it fits perfect into the fender well. I used a 4"-3" downspout connector and cut off the 4" end and stretched the 3" end over the pvc tube and it fits nice and tight into the bellows. No hose clamp needed.

If anyone in the Lincoln area want to try this let me know, I have 6' of pvc pipe left. Had to buy 10' pcs.

Hey, I had read that it was a simple install and I went ahead and bought the kit from autospring a few weeks ago, I went with the powercoated 2.5" version. I started looking at the directions and even being somewhat mechanically inclined it looked like it might be easier to just have the shop do it. But if you have done it before that could help alot, I probably even have most of the tools, what did you all need? thanks
Sorry it has taken so long to respond, I think there is a 1 1/16 wrench needed and one larger sized socket but other wise it is all stuff I have. I don't have the socket anymore but I do have the wrench. I would be willing to help ya if you did not get it done this weekend.

And welcome abord dnkrm!!

Sweet name

And I might be tackling my spark plugs this coming weekend so I am not sure if the get together will work. But I guess I could just delay it another weekend, like its really going to hurt. Either way I am just delaying the inevitable broken spark plug

On a side note, I managed to get 3/4 of the paint correction done on my truck. I even managed to get it polished, sealed, and waxed. I have the three sides of the bed left. I will hopefully get those tackled this evening. So all my speaker pods need now is some leather, I have decided instead of painting them I want them wrapped in leather instead. So any ideas on where to get some loose leather I can form to these things?

joke of the day:

There was a huge nut tree by the cemetery fence. One day two boys filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts. "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy. The bucket was so full, several rolled out towards the fence.

Cycling down the road by the cemetery was a third boy. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slow down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you." He knew what it was. "Oh my god!" he shuddered, "It's Satan and St. Peter dividing the souls at the cemetery!"

He cycled down the road and found an old man with a cane, hobbling along. "Come quick!" he said, "You won't believe what I heard. Satan and St. Peter are down at the cemetery dividing the souls."

The man said, "Shoo, you brat! Can't you see I'm finding it hard to walk as it is!" After several pleas, the man hobbled to the cemetery and heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one..." The old man whispered, "Boy, you's been tellin' the truth! Let's see if we can see the Devil himself."

Shivering with fear, they edged toward the fence, still unable to see anything, but they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me. And one last one for you. That's all. Let's go get those nuts by the fence, and we'll be done."

They say the old guy made it to town 10 minutes before the boy!

Jump_n I want to say thank you again for the box. After putting it in I realized that I do need to cut out a section for the bracket under the seat. It shouldn't be too difficult though. But after I get that done it should fit perfectly. And as far as sound goes it is pretty loud. With the right song the subs drown out the factory speakers. And I'm glad your kids weren't hurt. My 2 year little girl got stitches yesterday. Her brother and sister were playing outside with her all day and she decided to climb up on the neighbor girls bike and it came crashing down and cut the top of foot open. After a few stitches and a little TLC she's doing fine now.
