Here are a few pics of a recent project I'm working on. Upgrading my home-made gun range. Used to just shoot into the hay bales - but I wanted something a bit more 'guaranteed' to stop a bullet.

A row of railroad ties, 4 feet of dirt, then 2 rows of round bales. I need to figure out a way to support the wall of ties so the dirt doesn't push it over. I don't think the t-posts are going to work very well. Still thinking of some ideas.

idk wat you all have at your disposal but the only thing i can think of at the moment is to just replace the t-posts with either more railroad ties or some other sort of round wooden post.

if you don't have a post pounder or want to dig a hole you could also take a railroad tie and run a cable through it(or nail them all together really really good) and tie it to the round post in the background

Talking

Hey guys, I decided to just let the pros handle the leveling kit. I didn't have all the right tools and for the money I would rather work on my bike and pay someone to work on the truck! Anyway, JD790 hooked me up with a break on the price at Andersons and they did a great job! Thanks Again Ty! Below are some before and after shots. I liked the factory 20's (which is good as I will be using them in the winter) but I got a great deal on the chrome Tyfun wheels. I think it looks great! Only problem is I am still waiting on my Gryphon so the truck feels a little underpowered, that should be cured by the end of next week. So, I am slowly adding up the mods, next up will be the stereo.

Looks like I will be out of town this weekend but if something changes I will try and make it to Council Bluffs! later

Nice work on the gun range! I would love to try it out sometime! My guns have not been fired in a while after all the craziness of moving. Pretty sweet piece of green iron you have there too! My Dad has a similar one and they are very handy, I hope to bring his down to work on my yard soon. later

dnkrm, nice looking ride!

I'll plan trying to find an area to park in that will be obvious to notice. I think there is a parking lot across the street, but it depends on if there are any events going on at the Mid America Center. Turns out that O'Reilly's World of Wheels Hot Rod show is at the Qwest Center this weekend too. Something for you guys to think about to make the trip!

Yea, the world of wheels show looked pretty cool. Has anyone gone to it lately? Last time I went it was in Sioux City, IA, and I was like 10 years old! At $15 for admission it better be a pretty sweet show.

Truck does look great!! Sorry I missed you when you came to pick it up. I was going to remind you to re-torque the wheels when you get a chance after driving it for a few miles. Just to be safe. Just let me know if/when you need anything else!

I don't think I'll be able to make the meet this Saturday either. I have some relatives coming in from out of town. We'll see what happens though.
