Thanks. I think I'll try Royal Silver. Someone else recommended them as being a bit on the expensive side, but very high quality.

No, haven't had a chance yet. They were telling me they had a 6 week turn around. So I think what I'm going to do is order the brackets from Ford, strip them, and then drop them off at the plating company. I just don't want to let the car sit for 6 weeks at the height of the car show season. I've got a show in Chesapeake to go to on August 5th, and another at the beginning of September. I'll probably hold off until the fall if I can't get the replacement parts. Royal Silver was recommended by three different sources, so I'd like to go with them if at all possible. They were able to give me a quote over the phone of $95 for the hood prop rod, because they had just done one. The other parts they had to actually see. I can't blame them.

Sounds good and I can't blame them either. When and where is that show in Chesapeake? The Khedive Shrine center is having a car show on the 19th of August that is also in Chesapeake I believe. Actually I think it's in the Shrine Center parking lot.

There are some SUHWEEET cars in thos pics. I grew up around classic cars and love old iron. My mom had an upholstery shop when I was a kid and had all kinds of stuff come in for work. A fair amount of her work ended up in and on cars that were shown at Carlisle.

Hey, check it out. My GT is being featured on the Midwest Auto site. Well, at least the engine bay is.....
The link takes you to the gallery. Then you have to click on "GT Covers". Mine is the second photo in the gallery. The sonic blue with the blue & checkered flag plennum cover (photo 2 of 8);

BUSY! I went out to my truck to take a quick trip to the locksmith the other day and noticed that my front PS tire was dang near flat. Had to put two plugs in it to patch it up, whatever I ran over was something BIG. I'm now looking into getting a whole new set of tires for it. THEN the belt tensioner in my wifes car (The Crapolier) came apart. Yes you read that right it came into several pieces. Had to have it towed home and ended up unbolting the motor mounts and jacking the engine up to replace a $43 part. Screw those engineers and the sumbisquit that thinks I'm going to take the car to a shop or worse to Chebby only to pay $500 or more to replace a $43 part.

HOLY CHIT MAN!

This rain is ridiculous. I went to pick up a Bro who had surgery yesterday and had water OVER MY RUNNING BOARDS on the way to his house! I also managed to get water in two COP's that are now misfiring. What a PITA, oh yeah and one of my electric fans or its controller bit the dust. Yea me.

Hey Guys...I had to skip several (ok lots!) of pages...but I would love to get some mud on the tires if anyone found a place. Anything? I put the Lightning into hiding and now have an 06 Jeep Rubicon to play with. I'm in the Ptown/Norfolk area.

I dunno. Berkley....South Main St. I'm on a ship (not navy) in in between Norfolk and Portsmouth. There is a sign right up the street that says Berkley.
