141 (topped out) on a Ninja passing about 10 cars going about 30mph..

I realized really fast why they were going so slow when a dump truck pulling a bulldozer turned left in front of me..I missed the ramp on the rear of the trailer by NO more than a foot. Braking on the yellow line almost rubbing the cars not to hit the dozer..Believe me I did see the whole life flash thing and I swore the brakes were absolutely not working. I did slow to about 110 as I went by the trailer.
So that kind of cured me of going real fast in inappropriate areas. Like through our one light town at 130 (he he it's funny to see a one block town go by so fast!
But anyway I'm pretty much done with over 100 off the interstates now that I'm older....
oh yeah
Almost hit a golf cart at 120 coming at me in my lane. (by a golf course)

I've only had the L up to about 110 so far. However:

135: 1965 Mustang - 289 V-8
130: 1990 Probe GT - 2.2-L Turbo 4 (probably could have hit ~135)
125: 1960 Jaguar Mark 2 - 3.8-L DOHC hemi I-6 (bald tires kept me from going faster)
65: 1951 Ford Country Squire wagon - 239 flathead V-8 (probably could do about 90, but 65 was plenty!)

I never speed. That would be against the law.

Even when the CHP guy radared me doing 130 on Christmas day in the desert on the way to Phoenix...I wasn't going that fast, there must have been some problem with the radar gun.

(side story)
Funny thing was his first words to me were "So this is one of those Lightning!" He was all jazzed and asked to see the engine....long story short he wrote me up for 85 so I wouldn't get busted and could take the class....but even the 85 on the ticket was wrong because I was NOT driving over the speed limit, I never do that.

And speaking of the law, and what with Tim's posting of the Batman pic...

I wonder how fast Batman has ever driven in the Batmobile?

I've had my Lightning to 135 mph and was going for 140 until my brother started showing signs of nervousness....can't blame him. Especially with plugs in 3 of the tires. Other top end runs are -133 in my mom's STS- 150 in my cousin's 98 Vette.....that was nice-150 in my friend's 97 Cobra-135 in my 2000 GT-and finally about 145 in my 11 sec 93 LX comin home from Moroso with 15X3 inch skinnies up front......one of the dumbest things I've done so far. Even though this doesn't make them ok or right, they were all done on a very desolate stretch of residential street with only 3 or 4 school zones
