My first car was in 1983, a 1972 Bellair 4 door Chevy, with a 350!

It had only 12000 miles on it, and that old heavy car was darn fast. Seemed like it had a hot 350 in it.

1995 Ranger

Beloved parents rewarded me with it in 99 for getting a full scholarship. 5 speed, regular cab, manual windows, manual locks, no air, 4-banger. IT has had 2 different bug deflectors, 3 different designs of tail light covers, 3 different bed covers, a contractor's cap( found it cheap and needed the locking storage, cant afford the fancy steel ones) and various other odds and ends youd expect a poor college student to have to settle for in the accessory department.

IT has moved me back and fourth to college for 4 years, 850 miles to Georgia for training for my first job ever, and from my parents' house to my first apartment. HAd 36K on it when I got it, now has 106. HAs had a little minor difficulties here and there but has never once failed to do what I needed to do and never actually broken down.

I think the most expensive year I ever had it, when I got brakes, timing belt, serpentine belt, and a couple oil changes, total maintenance was still no more than400 bucks or so for the year. The last 2 years it's been nothing but a 25 dollar oil change every 3-4 months.

HAs even outlasted 2 serious different girlfriends.

HAs hauled couches, cinderblocks, 2x4s, every personal posession I own, and bucnches of friends on late night campus 'hay rides.'

I talk about how it's time to reward myself with a bigger truck with all the latest features and gadgets and that 'bling', and stop sweating my *** off every summer and having to reach across the cab to work the passenger side locks and windows. But the fact is I know Ill cry when I finally have to get rid of my Ranger.

My first car was a 65 Falcon 2dr hardtop. I still have it 20 years later. I have built it twice and started to pro street it in the early 90's, but we had a baby and it has sat since then . I will finish it but i have so many ideas and they all are to expensive right now not to mention my wife dosnt understand the whole "car" thing. I am down to 4 vehicles now and she has hers.

First

My first was a 1971 Dodge Demon 340, 4 spd, 3.91 rear. After I got finished adding cam, 5.13 rear, 850 dbl ppr, etc., etc., I bought a beautiful 69 Dart GT 340 4 spd, red w/blk vinyl top 3.91.....to drive on the street. I want another one.

I hope to get one of these Darts---see link below.
