My first car was the amazing 1989 "Ninety-Eight" Oldsmobile. Drove it for 6 weeks and it broke down 3 times. At very, very, VERY unopportune times. Nothing like calling your mom from your phone in a park, and you need a ride, and so does your, uh, female passenger. It was a hand-me-down hand-me-down. As my dad got it new as a travel car, then they bought it and my mom drove it for a few years, then my older brother drove it for about 3 years then I got it. Well my brother tricked it out with bumps, dings, missing hub caps, and no maintenance what so ever.

Wasn't really too bad when it (and the CD player) was functioning. Since it was an old man's car, it drove real nice, had really comfortable seats, and was really somewhat quick for a v6 in a 4 door.

The only thing about that car was the ability to rag the hell out of it. Want to take a speed bump at 50? Try it! You make wicked air! My radio ceased to function (which is still mind boggling. I would have assumed an engine explosion, or oil leak atleast!) but regaurdless it got way more physical demands than my truck.

Somehow made it out of a big ol ditch with front wheel drive! Right around an area it had also inopportunely broken down. Which reminds me, it had broken down the first day I drove it. Got my liscense, and my mom needed something at the neighbors, just wanted to drive and took it 15 feet away. Wouldn't start back up.

Damn, lets organize the break downs. Liscense April 4th or something. Broke down that day. Then another day I illegally parked at school. And in a park. Erg.

OK, that's the end of the rambling. Cept that atleast that peice had some wood trim. Oh yes, and more comfortable seats, and better handling. It makes me wish I still had that to drive just sometimes. Twas gangsta!

Oh, and at my school, actually on my bus, two kids about 3 houses away both have supercharged saleens (blue and dsg). The DSG has had some problems (accident/blown rod). His dad also has a brand new Ferarri. Convertible. Red. Nuff said. Beautiful. Under 100 miles. And I would have sex with that car if the opportunity would arise.

1986 Mazda B2000 xtra cab.

Was a company truck, then my brothre got it on his 16th, and finally I got it on my 16th. A TRIPLE hang me down! I did have it painted black, threw some pimpin rims on it, a chrome exhaust tip, and a little cheap system. It was a five speed, and would cut off everytime I took my foot off the gas, so I learned the art of downshifting to go around corners. It also had a bit of a smoking problem when it would first start for the day. Thick white smoke would poor out of the exhaust. But I loved it, and hated selling it.

1st car - '86 Mazda B2000
2nd - '86 Jeep CJ-7
3rd - '97 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4
4th - '01 Dodge Ram 1500 Offroad 4X4
5th - '02 Ford Harley-Davidson F150 -- And my favorite by far!

Thinking back I must have looked like a giraffe getting in and out of my first car. It is one of those 6'4" dissadvantages, it was an '85 or '86 Honda CRX, white with these cool white sport wheels.

My conversion to trucks didn't happen until '94 when I bought my first F 150 (now on my third). Glad I made the switch!

D-Day

1st : 94 Mustang GT 12.987 @ 107
Bad car for a 16yr to have 3 reckless driving's and 2 speeding tickets in 2 1/2 yrs. All reckless drving tickets were for spinning tires! Well I learn my lesson finally!

2nd: 88 Acura Integra
3rd: 83 CJ7
4th: 88 Mustang GT 8.53 @ 82 1/8
5th: 00 Lightning 7.88 @ 88 1/8

The 94 GT now runs 7.30's @ 96 on 17in drag radials.
The 2nd and 3rd cars long gone only kept 4 months.

The 88GT Just put heads, intake , cam and 100 shot. Hopefully low 7's on et streets.

The lightning is by far the BEST! What can I say I love my truck! It's also getting a 75 shot of NAWZ!

Ahh, thanks for the memories!

My first car I worked 2 1/2 years to pay for, plus HS grad money was to be a '58 Ford 6 cycl cheapie. When parents and I went to pick it up on a Fri. night, was just about to sign the papers when a bright white '56 Ford 'vert with 312 T-Bird V8 4 barrel, dual exhausts, fenderskirts, and spinner hubcaps saved me from obscurity and probably got me laid for first time! Helped pay my way through college with many runs from University of Mo. to Colorado to smuggle about 20 cases of Coor's beer back to school. Went with me to USAF after graduating college. Still mechanically sound, but sitting outside all the time, plus 4 harsh winters started rusting her out. Car passion had begun!
First new car '65 GTO 'vert Burgundy
'66 Vette 327-350hp red, both tops
'67 Vette 427-435 hp Marina Blue, both tops making Captain present. God, I wish I had those 3 cars today!
Heart broken in '70 when I got company car and sold vette--one of my dumber moves. Couldn't stand it anymore so
'72 240 Z red mag wheels
According to VP Dir. of Marketing my best sale was convincing company to provide the only sports car, and foreign car in 240 car fleet
'79 Toyota Supra Black
'81 Toyota Supra Silver & Black
'84 Toyota Supra Black
Went into business for myself in '86 so Supra went in 1987 for a
'87 Toyota 4 Runner to carry all my samples, Great truck, but so underpowerd with little 22R. At least it was 5spd At end of 1 year in business I won sales contest, bringing me back to sports cars
'88 Mazda RX7 Turbo 10th Anniv. Bright wht with wht wheels. Ws I ever proud of winning this car,but developed starting problems that couldn't be cured, so I sold it for $7500 Oct 1 1997
'94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 4 x 4 Black Dec. 93
'95 Toyota Supra Red only 16,400 miles Oct 4 '97 Still have!
'00 Lightning red June 00 after selling Jeep Only 13000 mi. now

I was 19 and I borrowed $400 from my 25 year old girlfriend and bought a 55 chevy two door bel air coupe. Pulled the engine and built a 301 c.i. solid lifter motor for it. It was ugly but man it was fast for the day. Wish I still had it. Or the tri-power four speed 61 Pontiac Catalina I bought next. Or the 57 Chevy I bought next. Not to mention the 66 Mustang I bought next. O.K,O.K., I'll stop now.

It's actually pretty quick with just one passenger and the middle bench seat out. I drove it to work everyday during the summer, thank god I "upgraded" to a volvo by the time school started.

My second car was a 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA. I sold it so I could use my moms 1968 Cougar with a 427 in it. That thing was damn fast. When she sold that, I bought a 1967 Mustang 390 GTA coupe.

My first car was a 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente with a 289.
