My first car was a 89 honda accord lx hand-me-down, from my mom to my sister, to my brother in law, to me. It was a nice car to learn how to drive a stick shift in though.

The first vehicle I actually bought though was a 91 chevy stepside pickup with a v6. I always got made fun of for the smoothie rims it had on it but I couldnt afford new ones. I had a few other cars in between before I made the 5 year plan commitment to the lightning....

disclaimer *please don't ban me for having owned both a chevy and a honda*

Jon

A 1970 beige Mercury Marquis with a 429 and 4bbl. Got 8 miles to the gallon city, highway, or off a cliff. My first "mod" was duals with glasspacks that were about a foot long. Damn thing sounded like a B29 was driving down the street! Sold it for $500 in 1977 and bought a brand new Olds Cutlass.

Some of us are dating ourselves...I was 14 and my first car was a 1951 chevy 4 door sedan with nasty lead bodywork on the rear quarter. It cost me a mere 40.00 .I used it for almost 2 years driving on logging roads in the woods..It would not die. I finally sold it to a kid that used it in a demolition derby....

me being a youngun and all my first vehicle was a totaled and redone 93 camaro this was a base model car with a 6 cyl and 176,000 miles. It was a serious piece of shi%. Next i tried to redo a completly rusted out 64 chevy pickup. Both of these made me more of a ford fan than i already was

My first car was a 1987 Jeep Wrangler. It was white with a black hard top. It was an auto. I didnt know how to drive stick at the time. I had it for two years. I picked it up for $3,000. It had a plow on it, but I wasnt into plowing, so I sold the plow for $300. Then just before I got my truck I sold the Jeep for $3,000.
It only had 62,000 miles on it when I sold it. It was a real nice car. I wish I could find a pic of it.

Hard to belive this thread was started almost 3 years ago. But it is at least a good one. Are there anymore that come back from the dead on a regular basis?

I've got you all beat. A 1962 Falcon station wagon with a 144ci six and a two speed automatic. Although I don't admit that to anyone but my closest friends.

Red 1983 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta w/ 350v8, T-Tops, and 4speed auto....it was a POS but ran o.k....I sold it before I ever registered it to get a 85 S-10Blazer...a year later the Motor on the Blazer seized and I got a 85 Olds Cutlass Supreme....now that car, that car I miss....I'm still pissed about that retard that rear ended me so hard my rear quarters buckled twice.

1982 Mustang GT (the first year) with the RARE 4.2L V8. Only rated at like 110-120 hp for a V8

Was a dog with an auto, but looked good. Totalled it a year later (tree at 50 mph).

1963 Ford Falcon with a tree speed (that's a column shifter to the young'ns) and a 170 CID six, gave $15 for it, drove it a year and sold it for $100, a week later the rearend dropped out of it.

Still miss that car.
