Post Super chip Emergency. Please Help

I have the super chip flip chip, I tried installing it today, following the directions from this site exactly. The theft light flashes really fast and the truck will not start, with or without the chip it does the same thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Take out the computer and take a small screw driver and shave off **ALL** the silicone off the computer terminals.THEN use the little pad.90% of problems lead to bad installation.Dont worry,The other 10% of problems I have already dealt with!Ive had all the bad chips in my truck,Their cant be any more bad chips out there Ive already had them all

I have to agree. When I installed their chip in my cobra, I had a similar experience. I was able to trace it back to my failure to completely clean off the mating terminals. Of course, I was in a hurry to fire the beast up, and since this was the last step of the install, I cheated a bit.........had to do it all over again, what a pain. Good Luck !

But with out the chip the theft light still flashes and no start. I took a small screwdriver to the terminals, I took a magnifying glass to it and it is clean. Its bare. This is really frustrating as I have nothing else to drive.

Harvey: Check to make sure you didn't bend one of the pins on the computer connection harness that the 10mm bolt holds on. Also make sure the chip didn't get wedged loose from the bracket that holds the factory computer in place. There is a lip that gets between the chip and box sometimes. Do ALL work with the battery disconnected. I don't have access to your e-mail or phone as I'm at work but if I can help call me, I'm here until 05:30 EDT ----------

all work has been done with the batter disconnected. All pins are in perfect working order. I don't understand why this is doing whatever it is doing, I put everything back to stock and still the same thing, also noticed that the overdrive light is on now too.

Yeah, snug down the harness but don't stand on it. You have to pull all those pins in so there is resistance for quite a few turns.
