Make Grandpa Trucks Great Again! (56k warning)
Alllllllrighty friends, back from a deployment and new friend from that trip has inherited his grandfather's 1973 Super Camper Special that needs lots of Time, Luck, and Cash. At the same time, my grandfather's 1994 Bronco has more leaks of every possible location in the motor, so that needs pulled and refreshed too. Get the wrenches out ole son, we got trucks to fix!

Hey, quit layin' around!

Just found a cheap 460 donor rig on Craigslist and we gotta go now!
Instead of taking the 2 door 6.4L powerstroke, lets try my recently fixed 6.0L powerstroke for a 6 hour road trip, she'll be mint! Actually no problems. 14mpg empty, 11mpg coming back.

1984 F-250 460 with a bad C6. $900 bucks. Winched on and hammer down big time back to the shop to see if we got a deal or not.

Sounds like you've got your hands full with those old trucks! The '73 Super Camper Special and '94 Bronco both have their charm, but they can be a lot of work. You might want to start by getting a good mechanic's guide for each model to help with the repairs. For the Bronco's leaks, it's likely a seal or gasket issue, so replacing those parts could be a good first step. As for the Super Camper, it's probably a good idea to check the suspension and brakes before hitting the road. Good luck, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need any advice or parts recommendations!

Pretty happy with how heavy duty this is.

Next we gotta get this frame cleaned.

Little shop reorganize because I can't have the Jeep behind the bronco so the Farrier can trim behind where the bronco is. Calvin likes to be able to see outside of the shop or he freaks out.

I swear there is more dust here in NM than in any deployment I've been to.

Small victory projects.

Next goal is to pull the 460 from the donor truck. Got this far the other day.

Been night shift for a month now. We have fun for sure, but when the sun comes up it's time to sleep.
