OK Boys!
Another memory test. How about this "Rocky Jones Space Ranger". Do you remember his assistant? Does the name "Vena" ring a bell. She was a hot babe for the 50's.

How bout the TV show My Mother The Car? My favorite Martian. There was also a show with a super hero that would go into a phone booth, drink a elixir and turn into some super hero.

1. Lightning drivers almost always race non truck vehicles. Rice Rockets, Bimmers and Jags, motorcycles but almost no trucks. In fact, not even very many Camaro/Firebird/Mustang vehicles. Interesting I think.

Hmm. what qualifies as racing a vehicle? I'm not sure what I do with my lightning, but I think its racing ... (certainly local law enforcement would qualify it as such) =-)
--autocross, the occasional drag strip, and my daily driver. love that truck. --

2. Almost never see whitewall tires anymore. Only on a few Caddies and Lincolns.

You need to visit San Antonio. Half the cars here are slammed to the ground and running itty-bitty 11 inch rims and whitewalls.

3. Ditto for vinyl tops. Used to be on everything down to econo-boxes. Again, almost always seen on Caddies/Lincolns.

Again, still very prominent in the low-rider scene in SA. Heck, there are lots of mini-trucks with chopped tops and vinyl.

Hey Nathan:
Sort of back to the original post.
I think what I was getting at is that not many Dakotas, Camaros and the other ones I mentioned will run us any more. Lightnings have been on the street and on the net for 10 months now and the word is out.

As regards white walls and vinyl tops, Kennesaw is in like Georgia, ya know, and I better not say more on that one. I do sell a heck of a lot of 1/24 scale low rider accessories for the plastic car models though including those skinny wheels and white wall tires.

Zorro was really cool in the original and we can't leave out the Lone Ranger and Tonto.
BTW, I saw Annette on a talk show about 2 years ago, and they, sorry she, look the same. This thing is really testing me. Did I already mention "The Shadow Knows"?

Wow, it's kinda cool to see what all you guys remember.

I think the only thing I have to contribute is....

Remember when Lightning...was just an act of God...
