Hey Rob

Just spoke to a geezer down the road who restores old cars.
He is a bit of a boring old duffer but he suggested the Servo Diaphram may be damaged and sudden loss of vacuum during brake application gives you no vacuum assistance so you need lots of pressure on the pedal to stop the beast.

You may be able to get a overhaul kit or purchase a service exchange unit.
Not worth taking the risk with your truck, even a minor shunt could cause you big problems as you are aware of a braking defect which could affect a claim.

Best of luck - I am off to the pub as it's 7:30pm here for many pints of strong stuff and a laugh with the lads as it's Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas mate and everyone else who is lurking. :santa:
Hi Leeann

Cool

Yo Rob O
Congratts on getting your truck back

I have been thinking of the brake problems a lot of us have been having, which is made even worse by the cams.

I have been thinking of replacing the Vacuum Booster, and going to a Hydroboost system. With this system you get brake pressure from hydrolics from a special power steering pump. So as long as the engine is running you will have awesome brakes.

hey rob ,happy holiday,to you and your family :santa: after looking at your list on your build i was comparing it to what i have, my # 502 589 std street tunei have alot of the same things in my build except: 99 lower intake crower stage 2 cams paitriot stage 2 heads, stock comp. and ported eaton 2.7 8lb lower, everythig else is about the same. now im just guessing so every one dont jump on me, 99lower intake vs.02 lower 15hp? crower stage 2 cams vs, stage 3cams ? maybe 15hp? the heads stage 2 patriot vs. new casting cnc port? comp. 8.4:1 vs. 9.:1 ? has to be good for some extra hp? ported eaton vs magnum at least 35/40 hp with same pulley combo.again im just guessing but if you add it up with those changes that would put me in the same ballpark # just trying to compare for future mod reference ed

No Prob Rayden, glad I could help

Thanks Unoid
as for the cc's, NOT LOOKING GOOD MY BROTHER,

Thanks Ed and Happy Holidays right back at You and Your Family :santa:
Did your Son tell you I saw him at Dairy Barn one day, he's a great kid.

AS for the Difference in power between you and I,
I would have to say the new Port Design JDM has developed
along with the new piston design, a tad more compression,
the spec's he uses on his cams and Springs (which are EVERYTHING)
and the massive Magnum Powers tuning and tweaking Jim has under
his belt has REALLY PAID OFF ; o )

Jim did call me Friday to let me know he forgot to give me my folder,
so he's Fed X-ing me the final Dyno #'s "over 600 HP Baby"!!
I'll post them the sec I get them of course.
The one I found in the cab and posted was not my best or final #'s

I do need to correct my former statement on THAT program being
a street program though, the 600 HP is for Racing fuel only,
on pump gas 580+ is where we're at, but in a few months it's
going back for a few tweaks and it'll be even better ; o )

God why does it have to be raining today when I have off &^%@*$@$@$

Suppose to clear up this afternoon here, AMOF the sun is out right now........

Here's something to make you smile!

A man walks into a bar. He sees a good looking, smartly dressed woman sitting on a bar stool. He walks up behind her and says, "Hi there, how's it going?"

Having already had a few drinks, she turns around, faces him, looks him straight in the eye and says, "Listen! I'll screw anybody, any time, anywhere, your place, my place, it doesn't matter."

He says, "No kidding, I'm a lawyer too! What firm are you with?

Baw ha ha ha ha .......

Good One Gator

Here's a quote Tom (tlfwatch) just sent me, it's worth repeating

Remember this motto to live by

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!
