Christ..I wish I would have never started reading this thread. Amazing how quickly a thread can go right down the *****ter. I am not loyal to any of the "big 3" and this thread shows why. Sal is being the most civil...Johnny is also being relatively civil, and JDM just jumped off the civility cliff. Then of course you have the lovers/haters that jumped off the cliff before JDM. You guys need to fukn grow up all ready...jeeezus fukn christ!!!!!!! All the "big 3" have their own goals, ideas and innovations, and I respect them all for that. But this childish behavior makes me imbarrassed to own a Lightning at times. Just think what you guys could do if you were to get together on a project.... ..never ever going to happen I know, but damn that would be one hell of a ride.

Now get along, dammit.

JL, thank you for ponying up the $$ for the event. I don't do true street, so it doesn't affect me one bit, but I do appreciate you helping out to make the event a little better.

Civil... thats right... calling Jim out is civil....my bad.. what was I thinking???

Wasn't it Johnny who opened his mouth IN THIS POST? There may have been past posts that have died, but Johnny brought it and Jim responded... so now we wait and see.

Ditto Tom. The Circle of BS on here never stops, and you really have to wonder how old everyone is sometimes. Seriously, its like babysitting retarded puppies.

BTW, thank you to JL for ponying up some cash. Not that I have a chance to win it, but it at least helps out the event.

(disclaimer: I have never bought anything from JL)

I didn't say he was being civil, I said relatively civil. He may have called Jim out, but did he ever say a single negative thing about Jim's products or the trucks that run JDM? Nope, just a simple comment and everybody jumped on it. If anyone else would have made a comment like that about anyone else's truck, you know what would have happened? Nothing. Bottom line is the level of civilty in here is enough to make me want to puke. I am not defending nor bashing any of the big 3, just making an observation...that is all. Rake me over the coals if you wish, but this kind of attitude and behavior is what is going to be the fall of the brotherhood we have. It's amazing...we are all brothers and sisters in the owenrship of Lightnings, but yet we are always at war. You don't see this kind of crap happening over on the Dodge sites...time to take our vitamins and grow up big and strong...leave childishness for the elementary school playground.

RF over at NLOC had a good idea that I'll modify. Instead of "pinks" how about the showdown as a charity event, with the proceeds going to the Katrina disaster relief?

I hate to tell you.. but all the items Jim mentioned.. happened....whether you know it or not. So Jim was simply telling the truth. Nothing childish about telling the truth... now is there???

And think about this, if the comment was not made.. we would not be responding to it right now...the comment was childish So think before you speak or suffer the repercussions....

yeah

It's amazing...we are all brothers and sisters in the owenrship of Lightnings, but yet we are always at war.
Because
A) God forbid someone people around here do some research and know what they are talking about before they turn into some kinda keyboard warrior and run their mouth.

B)God forbid anyone admit that they are wrong once in a while.

Society is ever changing and for the worse most of the time. I wouldn't bother to be friends with half the people that visit this board because of their bad attitudes and constant stirring up of trouble. The other half there is a true botherhood and these are the people that help each other out.

No different then any other group of people. Some people you don't get along with. Just because they own the same vehicle as you , doesnt' mean you are going to like them.

All of the tuners have had "mishaps"...not going to get into a mudslinging match here. All I am is saying is rise above this BS all ready...I've been watching this board for 4+ years and it is still the same old bull*****. Everyone just needs to get over themselves...and believe me, I did think before I spoke...I just expect repercussions because if you disagree with anyone on this board that is all you get...

Back to the subject at hand...JL thanks again for stepping up.

That show f'in blows. JDM and JLP should set the rules ahead of time. I say, 3 runs, heads up! Run what ya brung...

16 or 32 valves, 3.3s or F2s, single or twin turbos, 200 shot or 500 shot... let's see it

Oh, AND HAVE THOSE "PINKS" GUYS TO TURN THE F'IN TREE ON!

Sorry, I don't like watching people "negotiate" (argue). I also think it's BS to spot "lengths" and have one guy launch at the line and the other guy launch part way down the track!
