How do some of these "full weight" truck weigh only 4500LBs with driver>??? I know I am fat but not that fat. My truck weighed in at 4,998LBs in street trim. With Bogarts on there I am probably saving what 100LBs to be safe. That is still 4900LBs. I don't get it.
I will be at the track to see just how fast a non stripped truck will go. -Mat-

Where do you guys come up with these Weights?? LMFBO By the time this thread is over with my 03' HD will come in Lighter. I love F150Online because it is the Only place in the world where One guy that run's 13's can tell a guy who run's 9's he's Not Impressed with that guys Rig.
My street Lightning at Full Weight is 4625 with me in it. The 1999-2004 Lightning weighs 100lbs. More.... Mine will Only go 11.80 @ 115 mph

I have the right to say I am not impressed by gutted or fiberglassed 9 second vehicle. They do NOTHING for me. Sure it is quick, but that is all.
A full weight truck still has a hitch on the back, has a spare tire under there. A jack is present under the seat. Your sway bars would still be on. I think it also goes without saying that the tailgate and seats are still there as well. You also have misc. crap in there from a daily commute. Gas does weigh something too.
If you are gonna come on here and say a stock 99-up Lightning with driver is only gonna weigh 4,725 then you must on crack. -Mat-

Ever seen the lightning section at track events? It looks like a swap meet with people tearing their trucks apart in the pit. You could build a lightning with the misc parts people take off around here.

 

Some of you Guys need to actually GO to the Track to put your Truck on a Scale. If you think that your truck weighs 5,000 Ibs. then the Driver must weigh 500 lbs. Some of you guys are nothing but Lier's but whatever you say. I guess if my truck Only ran 12's or 13's & I always talked ***** I would need a Out like you SVT F150.

hey hey hey... ive never stripped weight off my truck. the first owner did.

as for weights. mines 4650. weighed on a scale at a track and at a truck stop. full tank with out my fat ***. most truck scales are accurate enough

 

Ralph, believe it or not, those are legit weights. Gen2s are HEAVY. I have seen customer trucks with big stereos and glass bed covers and all the factory parts tip the scales over 5k at the track. My own 01 weighed 4760 with me in it. That was with bogarts, fuel cell, roll pan, no front sway bar, no hitch, no jack, and a partially lexan rear window. I was not "trying" to lighten my truck, those were just some items I took for because they just didn't needed to be there. But the point is, my truck would have been 5k easy with all that stuff still there and me in it.

 

That's NOT Real World conditions. No one is Racing with a Full Tank of fuel. Also guys like you & me weigh 100 lbs more than alot of these Guys. My friends 03' Lightning weighs 4760 with him in it at full Weight & he weighs 230 lbs. If anyone is gonna install 200 lbs. of stereo equipment they can do as they choose.Some aftermarket bed covers weigh 200Lbs. That is Not what a Stock Gen 2 weighs. That's all that I'm saying Sal.
