dealerjim, do you get a cut of the winnings? if so JIM @ JDM you can take my truck to any event you wish while I'm in the hospital.
seriously though, dealerjims truck is sweet, and speaking with shawn @ jdm on the phone this week, my truck will be also, seems like he pays alot of attention to detail and I feel very comfortable with him working on my truck.
A JL, JDM grudge match would be fun to watch if it didn't turn into a riot. They should arrange something and sell tickets, lol or pay-per-view, and send the earnings to the hurricane relief fund.

You very well should feel comfortable. Shawn is the man when it comes to wrenching on these trucks. Also is one of the nicest people I have ever met.
The madam opened the brothel door to see a rather dignified, well-dressed good looking man in his late 40s or early 50s. "May I help you?" she asked "I want to see Valerie," the man replied. "Sir, Valerie is one of our most expensive ladies. Perhaps you would prefer someone else," said the madam.
"No. I must see Valerie," was the man's reply. Just then, Valerie appeared and announced to the man that she charged $1,000 a visit. Without hesitation, the man pulled out ten one-hundred dollar bills, gave them to Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, the man calmly left. The next night, the same man appeared again, demanding to see Valerie. Valerie explained that no one had ever come back two nights in a row--too expensive--and there were no discounts, The price was still $1,000. Again the man pulled out the money, gave it to Valerie and they went upstairs After an hour, he left.
The following night the man was there again. Everyone was astounded that he had come for the third consecutive night, but he paid Valerie and they went upstairs. After their session, Valerie questioned the man. "No one has ever been with me three nights in a row. Where are you from?" she asked. The man replied, "South Carolina. "Really" she said. "I have family in South Carolina." "I know," the man said. "Your father died, and I am your sister's attorney. She asked me to give you your $3,000 inheritance."
The moral of this story is that there are three things in life that are certain:
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Being screwed by a lawyer
I believe there are actually four things in life that are certain:
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Being screwed by a lawyer
4. and everyone fightning and bashing each other on the Lightning Forums

I too think a charity grudge match would be a good idea and hella fun to watch.

Who cares?? It's the internet. If your life is so solely based on what goes on on this forum that you can't comprehend what is smacktalk and what is real then I feel sorry for you.
Who cares if people argue over vendors, that's how the bad stories about vendors come out, that's when you see the true colors. I HATE when threads get closed because someone is complaining about a vendor, I want to know how they handle problems, not just who can ship the parts the fastest. Or who is the cheapest.
People need to realize this the internet and people are going to say what they are thinking on here, it's like being drunk....or high for you rob.

If it would have been in october it would be better for everyone because everyone could make it.
The 32V motors are ready however we only have 1 3.3 Whipple. We can only get 3 more and that would be it as do to the situation with Lyscholm and Whipple.
JL,
Nothing you own, built, nor any of your customers will ever be faster and more dependable than ours. You think you are Joe Cool to come to a FFW event, qualify the fastest and then not show on Sunday to race. Just to say you were faster than any JDM truck which were running for consistency not to show how fast they are. We build our trucks to win every event, stay consistent, and LAST. Take for example myself in Dealer Jim's Truck this past weekend were I won the Bristol event and then took 2nd in the Topeka event. This was worth nearly 6 grand in winnings and contingency. Because you are a 1 hit wonder with your trucks and motors ie. Charlie who's brand new motor shot rods out of the block on something like his 5th pass with it. It did go 10.12 but it also did go home wounded on a trailer. At Atco you were running 10.80's in your 7 sec looking truck and your motor sounded worse than my diesel. You were all over the place with your ET's this summer and the sad part about it is you probably have over 200 grand in the truck to date. 30k for the truck brand new, your chassis guy is telling everyone that there is nearly 50k in the work you did there, those big tires and new rims, all the trannies, motors, and blowers that went into it not to mention all your time in R & D, repairing, and working on it over the past 3 years. This got you a 7sec look in a truck that has run a hand full of high 9's.
There is a TV show called "Pinks" were they have grudge matches for pink slips. Im sure you have heard of it. I would like to set up an appointment to do this, the earliest spot they have available is February. You win you take my truck, I win I take yours.

Wave Blaster I cant agree more
I am always for people telling the truth, and I STRONGLY believe in giving your HONEST opinions on a Vendor, Product, or Service. And I live for the negative ones, thats how we help each other NOT make the same mistake. Your right NOTHING should get swept under the table, it's the personal attacks I see no place for.
Ya I got a lot of time these days on the puter, my sons at that age he wants nothing to do with Dad unless it's wallet related, hehehehe
and believe me I do know how many people grow beer muscles,
I've met most in person and there are no better people than our Lightning Brothers and Leeann. I just NEVER see a reason to attack

Dont forget that JL has won WFC two years in a row, in truck and diesel classes, now thats knowing how to drive no matter how you look at it.
While we are on the subject of dependable, how about Vinnie being on his second or third JDM motor, or Don on his second, or Kevin on his third, or the numerous others like Dave London who were so displeased with his JDM motor, he went to JL for help?? Charlies broke motor was a fluke to say the least, but atleast it wasnt hidden from view and thank God he came out of that scary situation in good health.
FFW Events running 11's and when a JDM truck does win an NMRA event, he is running 12's Jim. 50-60k invested in a truck only to muster a 12?? give me a break.
Same trans as last year Jim, same motor as last year Jim and same blower as last year Jim.
Isnt that what its all about Jim? doing R&D, fixing what breaks and working on your own truck to make it better? All the while the man is able to build other low 10 second trucks, race all over the country just like you and continue to win events and be a professional doing so. He does this so his business is successful and so his customers are happy, if he breaks something R&D'ing it, it will be right by the time it hits the customers vehicles. I respect what JL does alot more than someone that takes customers hard earned money and their trucks all over the country and races them.
You dont even have a truck Jim, so why sitck your foot in your mouth when you have nothing to compete?
You didnt just call out JL in that thread Jim, you publicly humilated him and said things about him and his customers that are untrue and you deserve every bit of critisism for it.
Remember when you called me out? Telling me that the Fridge would kick my trucks ***? That wasnt your truck either Jim. Remember how you hid after I responded with 5k cash offer to race??
One more thing, even if you arent going to Lfest, why couldnt you atleast sack up and sponsor the class or class payouts anyway? (BTW, WMS is sponsoring your old class payouts, and we are happy to do so).
I say bring it to SSOTN this fall, put up or shut up.

JLI thought you had the "worlds fastest lightning?"
20svt,
Thanks for posting JJ's comment's over here!
JJ,
I think you hit the nail on the head! SSOTN would be a great venue for this challenge! I would love to see the race, but I doubt it will ever happen.
I still can't believe JDM would be so unprofessional and let emotions get in the way of "calling someone out"! Especially bashing his product's.
I have a question for the group on here, why do so many of you dislike JLP? I personally have spent some money with him, but I have spent some money with PSP and RPM (wouldn't recommend rpm IMO due to lack of customer service that us retard's need!!
) I've never had a product fail (Yes there are failure's for any product, it's inherent, especially with HP parts!)
Just remember, Opinion's are like sphincter's, everybody's got one and it stink's to everybody but the owner!!
Can't we all get along and stop bashing? Let's get this thread back where it belong's, JLP's paying out $$$$ for us guy's.
