I really have to Thank each and every one of you, (even Rob_02 L-ing) ha ha
THANKS
Some really great idea's, suggestions, and places to look. Awesome tips,
pic and everything (Thanks Capt, woo hoo.....)
Charles I was only breaking um, I knew what you meant ; o )

Ok not the greatest, but it's done and working perfect

Basically what you see there was done to each one (other than the soldering)
First the connector removed, then that 1 wire taped, then both

As said Sal read the Codes and it seems the prob is EGR related

This switch here (now unpluged and EGR shut off in Chip) proved to be stuck open.

It suppose to take in Vac, and then send it up to the diaphram on top of the EGR Valve, but it was sending the vac up there at the wrong time, and that will cause the motor to stumble and even stall, as tested by Sals hand Vac Pump.

As said it's running a 100 percent better and after taking it out for quite a while before, although the problem is still there (ONCE IN A WHILE) it's no longer doing it 24/7 once hot ???? Weird I tell you

Either way this is the first time I can say I REALLY ENJOYED THE TRUCK in quite some time, WOO HOO, WOO WOO WOO WOO ....
Lots of smokeys, WOT Blast, sideways action, and just plain old tire ripping fun. The Mag def feels good, and although I may not have the HP lots of you have, the 444/583 is lots of fun on the street, especially with the peak TQ below 3500 RPM. If I ever get to add the 150 HP of N20 sitting there ready to go, 600HP and god knows what TQ will be all I need to run my mid low 11's.

There is still a problem, but it seems to be much much better and not as often. My guess is we'll find it soon enough, Sal cleared all codes, so I'll stop down there again soon and see if any new popped up and take it from there.
I'll take it out for a good romping in a few and see how it's doing AMOF ; o )

Rob -

I once connected an aftermarket performance "box" to my '01 Supercrew. I think it was called a Viper or something like that.

Anyway, it connected (with the same *****ty crimp connectors you have shown) to the TPS.

Anyway, driving from Miami, halfway across Alligator alley and boom - truck starts stumbling. Let off the gas and it idles fine ??? Press the gas and it would stumble and stall.

Because I filled up at a station I never used before, right before I left, I was blaming the gas... Bought some of that drier stuff you guys use up north - and low and behold, the truck starts running fine ?? Chalked it up to bad gas and continued on.

1 hour later, sitting on the the side of I-75, wondering WTF ?

Then I think - I just added the Viper and the truck has run perfect before then. So I disconnected the Viper and noticed that the TPS wire was damaged by the POS connector that came with the Viper. Stripped it back, put a barrel connector on it and boom - the truck runs great.

Got home, stripped it back, put some heat shrink on it, replaced the crimp with solder, heated the heat shrink and it never happened again. It ran fine for the remaining 2 years I had the truck.

So, to summarize, I would repair the wiring to your TPS before I expended any more energy chasing other problems.

Of course, repairing the coil / injector harness should still be done...

Good luck man !! I'm praying for ya' !!!!

B-Man

PS. Have one on me !!!

Thanks Bro I will, amof right this sec, hehehehehe
Great info

Ya I just got back from a ride and it's still there, comes and goes, only when heated up it seems, and for some strange reason it seems to always boog down on turns ??? But also does straight. Try to take off and it's like the power was cut off or your out of fuel. As you press the pedal it's just waa waa, give it more gas and it's like your flooding it, get off the gas and it idles perfect, you just kind of feather it till you get it moving and then WAM it's back to normal, WEIRD SCHITT I TELL YA
??? Especially cause a sec later you can be stopped and it takes off perfect.

Oh well, at least I have 8 cylinders again
Man it's getting harder and harder to laugh every day....
At some point I will have to make the decision to use the ole process of elimination. Since it started the day I swaped Superchargers I'm still convinced it's got to have something to do with something I did ???
Nothing wrong with the SC itself of course, but something wrong with something I did. Having a new problem all of a sudden at the exact sec I started it back up, I just won't buy.

"AT LEAST YET"

Who knows, maybe I left a pack of butts inside
OR SOMETHING
