**UPDATE**

I have finally realized Iam an idiot, and idiot's shouldn't own or work on Lightning's.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your idea's.........except Gator....FU Gator.
I have come to know alot of Lightning owners and consider them to be my friends. I have shared what I have learned about these trucks with all and you with me. I will never forget what you all MEAN TO ME.

BUT its time for a change. I just can't keep going on like this. I've made the decision to trade the truck in. This is the week of all kinds of deals at the dealers lots.

I was getting coil #4 Faults as soon as I installed the Excalibrator tune that I bought from Sal this week. The truck was running terrible with my old tune from someone else. Sal's tune ran a lot better as soon as I installed it, but I immediately got a SEL.

It looks like the other tuner turned off all possible SEL codes. Sal's tune does not do that.

To make a long story short, the engine harness was not plugged in all of the way. Not the one with the 10mm bolt, but the one that just snaps in. This happens to be the harness that powers the coil packs.

Sal's tune saved me a lot of trouble because I was able to identify the source of the problem through the SEL code! Thanks Sal!

Have you thought of the T.P.S sensor? Just a shot in the dark but i once had a faulty one on a similar setup with the same problems . Change the sensor and whamo ,problems went away. I would definately solder those wires together thou and lose those pos connecters. I just missed you yesterday at Sals, as i showed up he said you just left. Well best of luck with your problems, just let me know if you need help.
Jason

Ps .didnt you also have those connectors on your tps to activate your nitrous?
Hmm, yes I do

Great thought Chim, something else to check and THANKS for the offer I may talk you up on it.
BTW, Where the hell would I even get a replacement TPS ???
Either way looks like I'll have some time to mess with it tommorrow, as Sal said the fact it comes and goes does point to an intermittant elec/ign problem. SO I'll check every wire, plug, and those POS connectors for starters.

Sal is so busy he isnt even taken in any new work right now, the fact he spend HOURS AND HOURS on it yesterday for me is just another reason I Fking Love You Sal I thank my lucky stars constantly for having him minutes away.

Yes he built it, and yes we've had some issues, but BELIEVE ME, he wants to find it and make it go away JUST AS BAD AS I DO. AMOF we may have already fixed it, as I said the injectors made the world of diff and for the first time ever we have 8 cylinders ALL working TOGETHER, and ALL looking the same. Major improvement compared to the old Injectors, diff of night and day. As for the hairline porc cracks on two plugs, as said we pumped the timing up to the point the Mag lost power, so that simply may have been due to slight detonation on that one run. We made another run later and had no issue, and made a couple of runs earlier and also had no issue, so I am feeling positive about the plugs after seeing how good they all looked

Rob,

Boost pressure at part throttle while the engine is stumbling is the engine backfiring into the intake manifold and jacking up the manifold pressure. I have experienced that before with the L and other supercharged cars.

As far as the stumble goes you might check the crank position sensor. I had a vary similar problem where the engine stumbled at part throttle, we went round and round for months and it turned out to be the crank position sensor, replaced it and things have been fine ever since. If your ECC is getting incorrect crank position information it could fire the plugs at the wrong time and could cause all the symptoms you have been experiencing including cracked spark plugs, backfires (boost without throttle) and stumbling.
