I'd wrap some electrical tape around that connector. Prevent the weather from corroding the actual wire.

Does Sal have an extra wiring harness laying around the shop that you could put on just to see if thats your problem?

Rob,

Get a fuel pressure gauge on the truck when you're driving. That will tell you a lot. Sure sounds like a fuel pressure issue to me, although a coil wire intermittantly separating would definitely give a drivability issue.

WHO THE HELL IS BLAMING THE MAG ???

If I wanted any schitt from you Gator, I'd squeeze your head,

I'm letting everyone know this started when I changed SC and did the injectors incase someone can pop in and say, hey man once I had a prob with the upper sealing and it did the exact same thing, once I had a SC gasket go bad and.....

I told you the Mag is pumping out 580+ TQ from Idle on, I cant ask for more than that, it is what it is. I SAID NOTHING TO GIVE ANY INDICATIONS THE MAG WAS A PROBLEM.

BTW
It is now doing it 24/7, trucks been sitting since last night.
I just moved the truck to make room for the people in the driveway and when I gave it gas, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it wouldnt take it
)#@(&%$)(@#$%()@#$%()@#$%@$^%(@$^%@#$^%@#$
I guess it doesnt get driven now till I find the problem

That sucks Rob, Don't give up though, you'll get it figured out. Its probably that POS Plasma Booster, My truck is being worked on at JDM, I'm going to have them check my harness before they drop the motor in, I had the plasma booster for a while too.

After spending most of the day doing some dyno testing on Rob's truck, I really didn't have time to dive into the stumble issue. But I threw the NGS on to see if I could spot something obvious. What I noticed while driving the truck around the parking lot, is that when his truck does this, the vac/boost gauge goes to like 5psi. In other words, you are stopped, you take your foot off the gas and give the truck the slightest throttle, and boom, 5psi. The truck should not do that. When it DOESN'T stumble, the gauge goes down to about 10 inches of vacuum, which is what is should do. So for some reason, the truck is seeing boost sometimes at the slightest throttle off idle, and throwing everything out of whack.

As for the Plasma Booster, that was removed long ago, when it was originally causing problems. The issue now, is that the T-taps used to attach to the coil wires are still there, and are the wires are randomly breaking now from them basically cutting most of the wire inside the insulation. I suggested to Rob that we need to address that, but that's not something easily done on the truck. I figured we'd save that for when we can pull the blower off, to give more room to solder up the wires.

Aww Hell ROb can do that! Get to work Rob! It's not difficult to do, just very very time consuming!

Rob,

For someone who just spend close to 10K on a new motor plus other goodies, you have a lot more patience than I have. I would be really PO'd. If it was my truck I would be taking the truck to Sal and say "here's the keys. Call me when it's running the way it should have in the 1st place". I mean this as no disrespect to Sal or his skills as a mechanic. I know he is an asset to this community but enough is enough! You had NONE of this issues with the old motor and now you have a new problem every week. It's time to draw the line.

Well, it become a Mag bashing free for all, the last time you had issues with your truck. And then finding out it was injector problems. So all I was trying to do, is make it clear its NOT a blower issue.......OK?
And because of that last statment, Iam coming over to take a leak in your pool.

And Rob, why not pull the blower and get out the soldering gun and get those POS connectors off and fix the wires. Atleast that would eliminate one source of concern...........

Sal
Do you think this problem could be from Rob monkeying around with his boost accumulator? Also, do you think a poor ground could cause this?

Rob........ Back to the grille NOW

hmmmm

i'm wondering if the coil packs are not recieving ample voltage or delayed voltage which would explain a few thing i think.

Why timming is not affecting the numbers too much,

Why he is pissing through plugs,

Why it's stumbling upon accelleration.

But why is the boost going up?? Did something come off or not get connected correctly when swapping the blowers??

Between meals check in, hehehe

Sal to bring you up to date
I didnt get to talk to you agian, but as said it got so bad on the way home I almost didnt make it. I re-adjusted the acuator last night, exactly as you said to, and also took the bypass off. Then wiggled all the connectors and took it for a ride, it was PERFECT for @ 15 minutes, but then it started again.
Now its doing it 24/7 hot or cold

I do truly think it is elec / ignition / coil related
But to rule out some other stuff, I just bought a fuel filter to change tommorrow, and I might bite the bullet and go for a Battery, I will need one by winter anyway.
I think someone had an extra set of coils (maybe V ???)
If I can borrow some, I think I'd like to rule them out too ???

BTW Gator
I LOVE MY MAG, WOO HOO !!

Bruce, that's a good point on the grounds. I know I connected them all, but we can double check. Grounds can cause all sorts of issues.

It is definitely a possiblity that it's related to something Rob did. He did pull the blower off and install the injectors himself, and he didn't have this issue before that. I did check over his work quickly yesterday, and didn't really see anything he did wrong. However, I may have to look a little closer now, just didn't have the time yesterday. As it was, I squeezed him in between other jobs for some dyno testing.

Yeah, it's gotta be a wiring issue. The fact that you messed with stuff, then it was fine after that, then started doing it again, sure sounds like an intermittant electrical issue to me. We're going to have to do some checking on that engine harness.

Hey Rob,sorry to hear your problems buddy. I can offer a helping hand if youd like. My trucks still in pieces right now so if youd like we can swap around some parts to try and eliminate some areas. Have you thought of the T.P.S sensor? Just a shot in the dark but i once had a faulty one on a similar setup with the same problems . Change the sensor and whamo ,problems went away. I would definately solder those wires together thou and lose those pos connecters. I just missed you yesterday at Sals, as i showed up he said you just left. Well best of luck with your problems, just let me know if you need help.
Jason

Ps .didnt you also have those connectors on your tps to activate your nitrous?
