The factory clearances are so tight that you cannot fit a piece of paper between the rotors and the case.

i was just joking!
I know the clearance between the rotors themselves was about .0025. cant remember the case to rotors for sure. don't want to say and be wrong. I have them wrote down at work though. An average sheet of paper is about .009 thick so if that gives you any better idea, you'd have to split a sheet of paper about 3.6 times before it would fit. or something like that.

Bottom line is that Apten works and is a cheap hp to $$$ mod. Regardless of what it looks like. Several L and Cobra owners have dyno-proven gains and ET gains at the track. You get what you pay for. Machined port w/ clearance issues addressed is the way to go for me compared to a hand port job. Worth the little extra money on the group buy with Apten over REM for me, but to each his own.

*ring ring*
hello, it's for you...
who is it?
it's a dead horse...he says stop beating me !!!!

The info is out there. Apten answers your questions respectfully. Can't we just move along now?

I agree completely. I have been looking at porting jobs done by others. They all show pics of what they do, so you know wha your getting. I'm not a big fan of mystery products. Especially for that kind of cha ching.

The funny part of it is, most of the perspective customers would not know how to do the work themselves anyway. Includin me. I just want to know what they shave off...before I send them 500 bucks.

Actually the normal pricing is $599. That's what I'm paying as I can't send mine in for work, I have to buy one now, pay the core charge, and send mine back after this one shows up.
