Thumbs down Road Rage!

I'm still shaking as I write this....

I met my wife for nice dinner, after work tonight. As she got into her truck that was parked next to my Lightning I gave her a kiss goodbye. As she pulled out of the parking space I hear a vehicle accelerating, I look up an see a older Ford Bronco flying through the parking lot headed right for my wifes driver door. The guy driving the Bronco lays on the horn and does not appers to be slowing down. I freeze in shock. The guy slams on his breaks and stops within a few feet of hitting my wife. As as she pulls away I see her shoot the guy a dirty look. I was so freaking scared he was going to t-bone her in the drivers door. The guy has his window down, so I yell over to him (not very nice tone), "Maybe if you did not drive so fast she would have seen you!"
He yells back and says "We are in a parking lot A$$hole!" I replied, "Exactly, you should not drive that fast in a parking lot!" With that this lunatic slams his truck in gear and jumps out, he is a really big dirty looking guy, I decide to pick flight over fight and jump into my L and lock the door with in seconds of him getting there. I'm about shiznit'n in my pants and fumbling with the keys to start the L. He bangs on my window with his finger and yells something like "Don't make be kick your bleeping ***..." I looked him in the eye and saw a whole lot a rage and thought please don't kick or do anything to me or my truck. I saw his buddy get out of the Bronco and run over. Not sure to help kick my *** or to calm his raging friend down. I put it reverse as he is still yelling and I got the heck out of there. When I get home my wife said "Did you see that jerk in the parking lot?" She missed the part of me yelling at him and almost getting my *** kicked. She thanked me for deffending her and was glad I decided to run...

I regret saying anything to him, but I was so mad that this idiot almost hit my wife. I also regret not getting the name and number off the sign that was in the side of his truck and calling the police.

I'm so glad the my wife, myself and my L are all untouched.

You did the right thing! I hardly rage but have a huge temper and if and only if someone is the biggest ****ing idiot and does **** on purpose will I lose it. One of my main faults is I will hardly ever back down as well. I really have to learn to do so though. Its just not worth it.

Good job man... you did the right thing.. trust me. The last thing we want to hear is anyone getting shot or stabbed.

Something similar happened once before, and the person that walked up to the window of my truck, had took two steps back and ran to his car after he saw the barrel of a glock.

James-01L,

I'll tell you what man, you def did the right thing. I was in the same situation a couple of months ago. Me and my gf were in her car on 537 near great adventure(nj people know) and i was driving and i guess i cut some guy off and never relized it or what? My g/f noticed that this car was following us for a long time. We had no idea who it was or why they were following us at the time but when we came to a light, 2 big guys got out of the car and were Fin this and Fin that at us as they were walking up to the car! I starting sh** my pants, knowing Id get my a$$ kicked! My gfs yelling to get the he11 outta there and thank god I was in a right lane so I busted a quick right and drove about a mile down and pulled in some parking lot. Well, after about 5 min we figured it was fine to go back to the road we were on and continue on. Well as we pull back onto that road those guys were waiting there on the side of the road for us! They get behind us again, and thats when I really wish we were in the L!!! so I could have out run them. I ended up jumping on the I-195 onramp at the last second to lose them. It was nuts!

Its just goes to show how crazy some people are even when you dont even know what you did to pi$$ them off!!!

its those kind of mother fockers that make me carry two 18" pieces of 500 mcm electrical cable under my front seat--one for me and one for anyone riding with me.

Ive been in situations like that. A couple months ago, me and a few college buddies were in my truck and we showed up at a party (I was DD) and when we left, a few guys got mad cause he thought we hit his chevy blazer as we were leaving. Before i knew what happened, we had 25 guys at least around my truck yelling, cussing, and throwing beer cans on my hood. There were 6 of us in the cab. I tried backing out, but they pulled a Dodge pickup in behind me so i couldnt go anywhere. i got so mad cause there were 2 guys literally reaching in my truck to try and unbuckle me to drag me out of the truck. I was so tempted to put it in reverse and put the fuggin gas to the floor and give that Dodge a little shove! Anyways we got out of there safely thank good ness.

Ive been in many situations like that and im only 19
Thank God you and your wife are ok.

I'm 6'4" and about 380lbs (at least... lol) and covered in tats... so most times a closeup view will avert situations like that. Of course in case things really get outta hand, Mister .40 goes everywhere with me.

One of the beautiful things about AZ, perfectly legal to leave it sittin on the dash in plain sight, tends to re-awaken peoples common sense.

Thats why I carry one of these.

That focker would've been staring at the OH S#IT end of my Glock. Then we would've seen how big of a bad a$$ he was.
