Way to go shane that is an awesome pic. may be a few guys out here are a little jelous. I know i wish i could have a L to go 140. but that is also the reason I dont have one. As it is I have check the speedo out on my truck. And yes it was on an interstate. What better place other then a track and a track isnt going to let you get to a top speed anyway. All i know is it is awesome to scream down a highway at 100mphs since that is all my 03 4x4 will go. But i do remember owning a 76 mustang with a 302 in it doing 120+ on a back country road. At least you were smart enough to use a highway. after all they are called superhighways arent they?

Hey Shane next time...


Hold the button on the odometer before you start the truck and it will display digital speed..so we can know exactly how fast you were going..I have a Cobra and Lightning...and have topped them out both..

Lightning hit 144...this was just with a chip...their was alot of headwind and well its a fridge...

Cobra I hit 177 and let off only due to the fact thier was a bend on the Highway up ahead,that was with just a chip and exhaust...Now i have Kenne Bell..wonder what she'll do

Its not the smartest thing...but hey you only live once...and i did under the right circumstances....so what are you all trying to say that people in Germany are stupid for doing it? Its on a highway just like this one...only difference is they dont have a speed limit...but the roads are the same...the people are around are the same...and their isnt Emergency rescue teams on the side of the road...and if their was no speed limit here most of you would do it...

Anyways if you dont like it..why post..I think Shane is old enough to take care of himself and didnt post to have people preach to him.

Seriously, if he wants to kill himself I doubt many of us care all that much, he has that right. But the folks on the other side of the highway didn't add a 5000 missile into their "Calculated Risk" when they were driving.

Not to mention it's all our tax dollars that scrape these masturbating monkey drivers off the highway, along with those they hit.

The chances of the L --traveling in a straight line on an empty highway with speed-rated tires-- having an incident at speed, leaving the highway, crossing the median, and striking another vehicle is too small to calculate. No reason to include it in the "risk calculation" at all.

For nearly ANY death -- even at home in bed -- the government will intervene, causing an expenditure of public funds. Should private planes be grounded because of the huge expenditures when they wreck in a remote mountain area?

And "masturbating monkey?" That's a little strong, don't you think? Do you speed AT ALL? I guess only 10 MPH over the limit means you are just playing with it, whereas 70 over is full-on monkey spanking.

Basically what tim said. He could do the same thing at 70 mph, either way they would be toast. In fact, here's my theory, lets say he did eat it at 140 and crossed that median, that means hes gonna be going so fast itll probably take half a second to fly through to the other side, if he was only going 70, thats all the more amount of time he would be spending on the wrong side of the road which is more dangerous for the other drivers.

This is very intersting I have yet to take my truck up to any high speed since that is what I have race cars for so i can go fast in a controlle enviroment. But someday ill take it up to 140 but as of now id be scared it would blow a rod.
