Cool pic Shane! You were risking a lot to take it! That's just a fact, not preaching.

For all you guys throwing stones and calling people stupid, you weren't there, and you probably never will be. There are things called 'calculated risk'. As we get older and hopefully wiser, we are better able to calculate the risk, and take steps to mitigate the chances of disaster. He took a risk, and no one died or was even hurt. He survived to use hindsight to analyse the situation, and with more mature people to point out unseen risks, might make a different decision next time.

If only people who never did something stupid could drive, then we'd all be walking.

BTW, it's no big deal to do 140 in the L. If you don't have any toe out, it's stable as a sofa.

seriuosly most of you need to chill the hell out. Look at that pic, there are literally ZERO cars in sight. Yeah he coulda got hurt, or maybe he coulda got hit by a bus. Everyday is a risk and you never know what is gonna happen. But it isn't really life if you stay at home huddled in a corner. If anyone is safety concious it's me, i am very stern about things like seatbelts, and watching kids and things like that. But im also about living your life, and enjoying every day that you can. If your not out to kill anyone else then im glad you enjoyed your ride.

And please don't give me any bs about the extremes of my statement, im also all for shooting asshats that like to take the extreme of your statement to the max and trying to prove your wrong with it.

I run @15 lbs of boost between the JLP Cool Air, 2lb Upper + 4lb Lower. When I stab mine and stay into it, the factory boost guage
goes all the way around into the Tach area

I suggest every stop driving altogether. Think of how dangerous it is. There are any number of other cars that can hit you straight on, from the side, from the rear.! Its not worth the risk guys!

<poking fun, har har>

shane I wanna hear a sound clip of the exhaust gdoing that fast

Topping out your L on the interstate is a little stupid, even with no cars around but who here with a L has not tried to top out there L at some point. Most people on here most likly has at some point has or tried to see how fast they can get there L. I myself have floored it on the interstate, but I only got it up to 110.

One thing to think about, yes its stupid, but its his chooice to do it and flaming him ant going to do anything about it.

some people need to quit tryin to be dads around here....im sure quite a few people have topped out their truck and or other cars. personally ive gone well above 140 on my motorcycle through the everglades and still living to tell about it, and yes i know i could die but its the rush that makes it fun and makes you forget about the consequences. and if theres no other cars in sight its all the more reason to step on it. whenver i travel from west coast to the east coast of florida, 41 is usually empty and has lots of places to open up and its great, some of the paving isnt that good but as long as you stay alert your fine IMHO

I can't argue with that.

When I took the picture my foot wasn't to the floor and I wasn't making much boost... (at times the needle was pegged, and my autometer was reading 15#'s) Just @ 140 I wasnt into it all the way to make 15 pounds.

Coming from a guy who has millions of pictures to choose from, that means a lot. Thank you.

Rock on, Shane. There is absolutely nothing stupid or immoral about driving 140 on an interstate when there's no one around to hit. Street racing is stupid when there are others around. But 140 on a wide-open highway is another thing altogether.

And I have one hand on the wheel frequently at speeds over 100 at open track events. Nothing unsafe about it.

So why don't you ladies just take some Midol, curl up with a good romance novel, and chill out.
