Didn't want to post this because it makes me feel really stupid but here it goes:
My first time changing the spark plugs I thought I would save myself a few minutes by removing all the coil packs and old spark plugs at once. After pulling all 8, I started putting the new ones in starting on the drivers side back working my way towards the front. I was getting ready to install the 2nd coil pack from the back( the hard one) and...um...I dropped the socket into spark plug hole of the 2nd spark plug from the front.
I panicked so BAD, that I had to take a break to get away from the situation. I then remembered I had my telescoping magnet. After about 1/2 hour of fighting it I managed to get it out. As soon as it came out I temporarily put the coil packs in the rest of the spark plug holes and finished the job. Ive never felt more stupid, but after looking back I can honestly say it was a "rookie" mistake.
