unusual gas cap prob

I know for a fact no one is tampering with my gas cap. I make it a point to confirm it "clicks" when I put it back on. Ocasionaly, in the last few months, the cap is loose and I don't have to turn it to remove. What is going on? Am I going crazy.

Either someone is screwing with you or you need a new gas cap. How about a locking one?

Do children have access to your truck? They love to help. Just an idea.

No children, it's garaged and always parked where I can keep an eye on it at work. I'm guessing there is a problem with the cap itself. Without taking it apart it appears to have moving parts. I was curious as to if anyone has come across this problem?
