New From VLED.....V3 Triton

http://www.v-leds.com/page/V3TRITON.html

I've ordered a set of SBs for the fronts and a pair of reds for the tails.....

When they come I'll post up some comparison shot pics....

Yep....I'm going to be the guinea pig....

So is this the LED turn/brake bulb that will no longer require an external load resistor or do we need to wait another generation? I'd hope for that price..

Wow, not in a million years would I buy that. $100 for a Philips Rebel? HAHAHA. They cost all of $2/each at DigiKey. And yeah those are 3W rebels, but there is NO WAY they are running them that high. The required heatsink for one of those at full power is easily twice the size of that whole thing. You can also tell they are dialed down from the brightness. A 1W Rebel would blind the bejesus out of you. I can already see the hotspotting, too. LEDs =/= incandescent reflectors.

No offense, 88, but I see a lot of people wasting their money on this over-hyped, over-advertised crap.

I totally would if I had access to a CNC machine. The LEDs, heatsink, and power supply are easy to make. Putting them in a package is another story. I know a guy on another forum that made PnP bulbs out of LumiLEDs and they were fantastic. Although it took him 10+ hours to solder bulb socket, the tiny chipset, resistors, etc.

Am I understanding this right? The fronts can be a "day time running light" and your amber turn signal? That would be pretty cool!!! Led running light on the F150? I might have to try them!!

I'm about ready to put a 25w hid kit in with a delay timer for mine....

Why the timer?

So when the truck is shifted through the gears reverse lights won't turn on every time the selector goes past R.....
