ac compressor / clutch pulley
ac compressor / clutch pulley
Hi... this is my first post as I have searched in here and on the web for an answer. I'm trying to replace my A/C clutch on my 2014 F-150 (5.0 L) . I ordered what I thought was the correct one off eBay but it has 6 grooves in the pulley where my old one has 4. I thought just the V6's used the smaller pulley and the 5.0L and 6.2L etc. used the larger one with the 6 grooves. Does it come down to the VIN in which series uses the 4 or the 6 grooves? I also think the new pulley may have a larger diameter but cannot verify until remove the old one. I'd appreciate any feedback on this as it seems the only 4 groove pulley on Hotspot, Parts Avatar and such auto parts stores say that it's for the 6 cylinder engines. I wonder if the new 4 groove belt will work on the 6 groove pulley.... probably not as it wouldn't seat well without the pully shoulders. Thanks... Dave
Sounds to me like you need to get a 6 cylinder pulley.
