Want New Heads

Hey guys. I'm starting to get bored with the stock-ness of my truck and thought the front would be a decent place to start. I know I want some clear fogs to match whatever headlights I choose, but IDK what to pick. Projector retrofits seem a bit out of reach, and HID's don't seem worth it without projectors. I want to keep the cost in the $100 range for the heads, and I'll prolly stay with halogens, so that leaves me with a ton of crap on eBay. Lightning or halos?

I do trade function for form occasionally, and I'm running Silverstar Ultra's right now, but will my stock housing shine more useable light vs. the stuff below?

If I were to buy ricey lights, I'd get these...

Lightning... Clear, smoked, or black housing?

Currently...

The ricey lights wont have near the output of the lightning ones, but do look better with the halos and such. Its pretty much your opinion...proper output with decent looks or poor output with good looks. Plus, with those lightning heads, you will get more respect frOm the older members on this forum

definately the second ones. Plus if you have SS Ultras (9007) you can swap them over to lightning heads. Those rice-tastic projectors use H1 and H3 bulbs.

Also, does my valence actually cover part of the foglight? Is it actually rectangular?

Id go black on your black truck. As for the fogs...no. They are the shape as you see them. Some is cut off by the valance, but not much.

Yeah go with black. The valence does cover some of it up, but clear fogs would be awesome too.

Now Raptor, when I get these lights put in, I don't want you to poop all over the thread with awesome projector ****.....

Aww what the hell, do you have any new cool pictures of your light setup? Just to distract me in the meantime...

Heads showed up. Unfortunately, it seems my fogs are stuck in Memphis until Monday.

Will these lights need special attention to stop them from yellowing/oxidizing? Do I apply a wax of some kind?
