Does anyone have 3000k in their fogs? Finally getting around to doing my fog conversion, But I can't make up my mind between matching my heads or running 3000k's. My no 1 problem is I can't get 3000k's in 50 watt. So it would be 3000k at 35 watt or 5000k at 50 watt..........

Running 50w in the fogs is gonna be a problem, too hot. You can't fit a large enough projector in the fogs to run 50w.

I have 5000k in my fogs right now to match the headlights but once duck season comes around I will be switching to 3000k for fowl weather performance.

Personally it would look better if they matched the heads.....but if you want the yellow euro look that's cool also.....

Thanks, Ordered the Mini D2S instead with the long lead 35 watt and the 5000k. I'll switch over to 3000 when winter is closer.

That is what I installed in my HID fogs and be prepared to do alot of grinding. I may have some pics of my lights after the grinding to get them to fit if your interested. I think that the Mini H1 is a better better fit as if I recall they are a little shorter than the D2S. The light output is amazing thogh.

FX-Rs have a slightly wider output and better high beam. The only reason one should NOT use FX-Rs is when space restraints are a issue (just my opinion).

Before grinding, top is actually the left side.

View of the top part of projector after grinding, drilled and tapped new holes to mount the plastic.

I went the other direction with my fogs...instead of grinding the projectors, i cut the crap out of the housing. Tons of work, probably not worth it. Purely cosmetic. The fogs add extra lumens and the quad high beams are ridiculous...but next time I am doing the LS460 bixenon in the headlights with OEM bulbs and leaving the fogs Halogen.

Yeah once I get a new truck or car, I'm getting some LS460s with some CBI bulbs.

Yeah I will either go with the CBIs or the Phillips Ultinons. This setup here (LS460 w/ Ultinons) is just pure sex:
