What bulbs did you get? It could be two things:

A.) Bulb manufacture is wrong. This was the case of mine and simply swapped them with some new ones and all is well.

B.) The hotspot is correct, but the shield cutoff is aimed low, thus meaning your projector is aimed HIGH.

Are you doing the retro on your Sportrac? There is a build thread over on hidplanet.com in the headlight retrofit subforum that is a Sportrac...might help you out a bit.

Thanks for mentioning those build threads......I found them last night......turns out I had to call TRS back so they can change the type of harness they're sending me.......I found out by reading those threads that the sport trac has a can-bus bulb out feature which requires the use of resistors to over ride the warning of a bulb being out message....cause the ballasts don't draw as much as a h13 bulb does.....So Nate changed my order to the other harness......

Sweet, glad it helped! Now that the order is all squared away, time for the actual project!

Going to be keeping the stock ironman headlight housings stock and ordering another set.....I found this out.....that any of the ford headlight housings that have black in them, the dealers want a pretty good chunk of change for new ones...

Now if they were simple Chrome ones, they're a dime a dozen.....

if anyone seen mine and liked them you can buy em for 270+shipping. haha pictures are HERE i want to do the fx-r's so i'd like to sell these. i'm not desperate to sell them but if someone offers me the right amount and pays shipping you can have them. i'm including the headlights for free and taking 25 bucks off the price of the complete mini h1 kit, since the passenger side is aimed to the right slightly, the lens and shroud has tiny scratches witch are barely noticeable, and the high beam solenoid wire needs to be hard wired to the relay(came like this from TRS, simple but not PnP).

p.s. i know this is not a classified ad but somebody may see it and want them.

I want to see some black housings with the FX-R style projectors that do NOT have the entire headlamp bowl painted. I really dislike that look. Anyone have it done?

Similar to this even though the bowl is painted. The fat projector still helps with appearance looking attractive.
