I guess the best way to determine the price is by using this formula;
1. Price of parts (Connectors, wires)
2. Price for your labor ($20 - $25 per hour)
3. Shipping cost (materials to ship)
4. If list on EBay; set a reserve price (the least amount you will accept without taking a loss)

audiophile swap out

does anyone know where i will find the conn for the head unit when swapping the std 6d in dash that came on my '04 lariat? I found the conn. for the amp under the rear seat, but haven't found the one for the head unit after pulling the unit it came with out. Is there a chance the harness that was on my unit will power up the amp just as it is? The unit that was in there had 2 places to connect to, but only one actually was being utilized when i pulled it out , and it worked steering wheel controls and all, any advice sure would be appreciated

Is there anything in particular you have a question about?

FYI, I made a harness today and hooked everything up. It worked like a champ and I am satisfied with the outcome. I wasn't looking for anything that would rattle the windows, but that sub can really rock if you want it to and I was impressed with the sound quality coming from a factory system.

Wire Harness

On the 6 disc cd changer in my truck, there is no sub out on it. And I am wanting to get me that audiophile sub to put under my back seat. Is there a way I can get the wiring connector that plugs into the sub (3U2Z-14S411-CAAA) and wire it up to my head unit some how?

Thanx

Welcome to the fourm,

You will have to change the factory (two plug) nonaudiophile HU to an factory (three plug) audiophile HU and make a harness to the sub......
the plugs are avalible at the ford dealer (someone posted the part number a while back and they have to be ordered) search button is you best friend....

I just ordered a Audiophile on ebay and did a search on the idea of adding a sub. This thread answered all my questions and more.

Thanks guys for the great info.

Richy9612, do you still have the factory sub available?
Might be interested in the cable, did you use twisted shielded cables like someone suggested?
Let me know how much you want for the sub and wiring harness. (not sure if I need the harness yet, but now I know where to look. 8)
