For connectors, go to:

www.installer.com

Scroll to Ford section and look for Part # 71-5520-1

Good find on the sub plug Walter150.

For those adding amps to the stock hu grab the 70-5520 plug harness also to keep from tapping into the stock harness.

Actually, I found it via a search on this forum. KC8FLB gets all the credit!

Not me - mine is due in on Wednesday along with an amp installation kit from installer.com. I don't know when I'll get to do the install but I can post results if anyone is interested. FYI, I did ask if you could just buy the sub-out plug separately - the answer was no.

Good info!

I send an e-mail to a web site called Oemfordparts.com, he told me the part number is 3U2Z-14S411-CAAA, it to plug in to the factory subwoofer. He told me the part in around 26.00!

OK, now I'm even more confused. I have purchased Audiophile radio, and sub/amp. Need to install, I do not have the wire there already. Which part or connectors do I need...
1. 71-5520-1
2. 70-5520
3. 14S411-CAAA

Lately I have seen all of these listed. ANy help would be appreciated.

axe124,

You don't need 70-5520. This connector is required if you are going to connect an aftermarket head unit to the stock wiring harness.

I, like you, am anxious to see if the 3U2Z-14S411-CAAA connector is the correct connector for the sub. If so, one could purchase the 71-5520-1 and 3U2Z-14S411-CAAA connectors and make their own wiring harness.
