I replied via email that I was 100% in, however my name is not on the 100% list.

Please add me to the 100% list.

Thank you.

Understandable. OK, how about this? Collect names until Monday night then I'll email everyone the coupon code that night if I haven't heard from Performance Products so everyone can order their Edge first thing Tuesday morning?

I would likely vote for disqualifying Performance Products if you do not have a firm price by Wednesday. In fact, I would give them until a reasonable time on Monday evening and if you have not put together a deal with them, then go with the other vendor. However, I think you have to be fair with them and let them know the terms right up front. (i.e. don't tell them to take their time when you know that there is a reasonable deadline. my most recent email to them expressed the urgency) All I am asking is that you give them a shot, especially given that they now have replied to my inquiry. If they can't put something together for you, oh well ,their loss.

Sounds fair to me. I haven't had any emails from them yet and since you "expressed urgency" on Thursday and they still haven't gotten back to me. So giving them until tomorrow sounds good.

JackDob - you should have the mail now.

Tical, to accurately set the timeline for you and everyone else, my email that expressed true urgency was not until Saturday morning, which they should receive on Monday morning, the first business day afterward. My original email, according the recipient of my second email, was never received, which anyone who has ever sent or received email knows is possible and excusable. Had I known that you had already gone ahead and negotiated and finalized a deal with another vendor prior to contacting the second contact, I would have expressed greater urgency to them prior to this.

Oh, ok, that makes sense. I hadn't finalized anything...Still haven't actually. I was just collecting numbers so I would know an approximate price. Nothing will be final until Monday evening when we find out if the websites sponsor returns the email or not. Just like when you're shopping for the best price in town. You don't drive arround to different stores just to see if they HAVE the product, you want to see the price as well. Doesn't mean you're going to buy it from them, just so you have an idea of what they are going for.

Thanks, Tical (and everyone at least willing to give our sponsor a chance). Please check your email for an offline followup.

i don't have a sense of urgency either....don't need it by christmas. i am willing to wait a few days if it goes that way. i was under the impression that the vendor had all of last week to respond though? unless that was the email you mentioned they didn't get......so either way i am in, and thanks tical and webmaster for keeping this thing going and being professional about it as well! great job guys.......

I'm sure that with the volume and price almost any vendor will want to play. They can't be ignoring the chance to make a reasonable profit 20 to possibly 40 or more times over. If they have stock then it doesn't make any sense not to want to play.

I been following this thread and seems like the beta testers seem happy. So I can wait as I believe we need to make sure the sponsor has time to look at the numbers..

Thanks again for all the legwork. Both Tical and the WM..

Jack
