Does it just stick or clip on? I don't really want to screw that on to my dash. Especially when i want to trade my truck in. I don't think the dealer would like that to much.

 

ok so chech this out ! been waiting for my programer , jay from edge said he sent it on the 21 . next day air , i paid extra . ups tracking says it was dropped off at my house at 9:32 am and all the drivers notes say is piller . well i was home until 1130 no ups, no knock on the door , no note. now since thanksgiving looks like ill have to wait another 2 or 3 days this sucks, damn ups drivers !!!!!

 

I heard that! Sometimes I love em', but sometimes, I just want to sit outside on the roof and wait for that brown socks wearin H-mo with a sling-shot and just catch him right in the lip with a rock!

 

no sh*t im pissed if i find out that damn driver stole it ill see him the next time he comes back down my street that is a cultersack and give him a piece of my mind .(condasending attitude) well ill try to have it .....

 

I have been monitoring this thread but I have yet to see any posted stats for the Edge programmer ie: hp gains, tourque, shift piints, fuel economy. The pics look great. I have a Scan gauge I got back in 04 and I really like the choice of menu displays. The only draw back was that the box doesn't flow with the dash the way the Edge does. Are they looking for any betw testers in the Augusta, Ga area? Do they have any pricing benifits (discounts) in mind for the site members?

 

there is no more testing i was the last person to have it sent to and the damn ups didnt deliver it . so to your question no no more testers as of what i was told , msrp i was told is goign to be around 450-500 little step up from superchip but you gone get the gauges or the more options like with the edge . i was planning on taking a trip this weekend with it on and post numbers but now i dont have it to do so !

I like the looks, but Tried &True is why i just ordered a Troyer Tune...I am very interested in seeing the long term opinions and testing results with this tuner. Good luck everyone and please keep posting pics,& updates.

 

Here is what you should do when you get the xcal 2. Take the truck to a dyno make a stock run or two. Then intall the xcal and make another dyno run on the exact same day.

On a serious note take the time to datalog and send the xcal back to troyer for a real custom tune. Hell you are paying for it so you might as well get the real thing.

If you really think about it who gives a crap if your favorite tuner can make 25 more rwhp at 5000rpm but doesn't make 5 more across the rpm range you normally drive your truck around in. Maybe it matters if you are going to spend your time at a drag strip.

I am not promoting the Edge or anything else unless someone can show a real dynograph with moderate (15-18rwhp) gains from the 1500-3000 rpm range.

 

Well, I would post some numbers if I could just empty my current tank full of gas! I will put some 91 in it in a few days and tune her to 91. The pod has some 3M tape, I have not "stuck" it on yet, I'm debating on painting it grey to match the interior. When I get her tuned to 91, I'll start data logging as well, so I can get the numbers everyone wants.

I say get it painted to match. Then it'll look like it belongs. As is it looks like it was just stuck on there. If the price isn't too outrageous, I'll get one when they are released to the public.

Well i chased the UPS guy down today and he had my unit on the truck , (thank god) ,come to find out they miss spelled one letter in my street name on the package but had it right in the computer. Oh well , i got what i wanted i am happy now. I took acouple of pics i have the FX4 and the pics i have seen have been with XLT'S and the Edge pic is a Lariat so heres a good pic with it on a FX4 dash. with the color of interior i have i dont think i will paint my pod i like the look of the black , makes it kinda flow with things ... Love the kit , just having problems getting my tire size right since it is in mm, and im on 20 inch wheels and the chart stops at 18 inch in the Edge book . So im still playing with it . I got it with in 4 miles an hour but i think i can get it right on if i try hard enough.
