That's a really sad story. That kid is a dumba$$ though. A .24 as a 16 year old, really? I've always been way too concerned about messing my vehicles up to drive if I've had so much as a sip, too risky. I also NEVER let people ride in the bed. There's a lot of that "affluenza" going around like influenza right now . . . or like the plague may be more accurate It's actually a legitimate problem . . . though I don't know about legally recognizing it.

Let's say the Dealership is willing to take this back under the Lemon Law. Does anyone know what is done?

I believe its actually out of the dealership's hands, and it is up to Ford as the manufacturer.

I don't get the point of this post. Am I too easily annoyed or is this clearly a waste. Most/nearly everyone knows the dealer doesn't make the decision. Frankly, I wish the Dealership would represent Ford on everything. It seems very unprofessional and obtuse for Dealer to "not work for Ford" and Ford to "not be able to direct Dealers" because they are somehow separate. How do their interests vary? Then you go to the Dealer and the sales, service and parts are all separate too. I'm guessing lawyers are more involved in that than customers.

Okay....so Ford says we will take it back under the lemon law. You don't take the vehicle to the Ford plant. It goes to the dealer and what do they normally do?

The dealership takes possession of it and a Ford rep would arrange transportation of the vehicle from there. Where it goes from there I don't know. I imagine Ford would likely donate it to a community college that has an automotive program.

What do you get in return? Funny thing about those lemons. Most of them end up on lots. At least that's what I read from someone. It seemed credible and I can see if I can find it, if you want.
