I'm going to abstain from this vote.....

why it feels dead or slow...

#its summer

#theres a lot of forums out there these days and they're more model/engine specific

#with the Facebook, twitter, and other social sites forums have lost venders and others because there's their own form of moderation involved and more of their control over how the information is passed along.

#forums usually pickup around Christmas through tax return season....more people have less to do outside cause of the winter months

#people buy and sell vehicles...some will find this site and some will rely on the BS propaganda the local dealer or mechanic spews from their mouths

#more people use search engines to solve their issues....cause theirs already a hundred threads that have answered the same question

#a lot of work places along with some schools now have rules or blocks on what can be accessed online

#there's website places to go get questions answered instead of getting beat up on a forum about beating a dead horse

#forums were a fad for awhile and fads do die out

#life is busy....kids, family, events, school, sports, friends,

there's more but time to go to bed....

I haven't been here for a while cuz there's nothing else I can do to my truck!

Now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go put a turkey and pork shoulder in the smoker.

There's always SOMETHING you can do! I can think of 3 right now for ya!

How's about sending some of that down to Houston when you're done? You can call it the opposite of a house warming gift for those of us who aren't moving

That was the poorest excuse for a joke, I don't Ben know what that was, too early

Ok, mister high and mighty 2005 The thread was merely a question, never said I was all-knowing on the forum's integrity. I apologizing for not being 35 years old and joining early haha

Hey, if you're going to post in GD you need to develop thick skin. Sarcasm is not optional.

I was just fooling around back! It was all in light humor on both sides, I promise! My skin is thick and leathery like the bunyon on a homeless man's left foot

My humor tends to be quite dry at times!

One of the '99 boys could say the same for you! You've got 3 years on him, they've got 2/3 years on you, but who am I to talk?!

Yes, but as with age the longer your around the time differences matter less. I see it a lot with new employees. A person on the job six months has a lot more knowledge than one just hired, but two people on 15 and 20 years have very similar knowledge levels.

Since this thread was started, I am noticing the same thing on many of the forums I go. It could be the summer time, but I never noticed the huge drop in activity before. I think it is one of those thing whertherere are only so many questions that can be asked, before everything is answered. It does seem like the general discussion forums are the most active (just a feeling not scientific by any means). That could bbecausese people are free to discuss whatever they want in those sections.

Hush it or I'll send a bunch of ACORN activists to visit you! They're not gonna leave until you're proudly ready to vote for obummer's third term.

Obummer gets a third term? I thought he had extended his second term to infinity? Or maybe it just feels that way.
