A Proposal
The events of the past few days and the vitriolic posts back and forth concerning those events, comments on the intelligence and possibly parentage of the members doing the posting, questions about the patriotism of these same members, and other assorted derogatory comments having nothing to do with the subject of the events, have led me to the following conclusion:
It will work this way: The Right WingNuts will be allowed to register and post in the Right-Threaded Forum, and the Left WingNuts will be allowed to register and post in the Left-Threaded forum.
Any opposing views expressed in either forum will automatically earn the person expressing those views a permanent ban. This way, everyone can learn from each other in an "echo chamber"!
No one will get their feelings hurt, and we'll all take comfort in the company of "correct-thinking" individuals! There will be no need to cast aspersions on anyone (and we mods can spend more time working on our trucks)!
This seems a slam-dunk, win-win to me, guys (and gals). What do YOU think?

We need two new forums!
One, reserved for "Right-Threaded WingNuts". You all know who you are. The other, reserved for "Left-Threaded WingNuts". Again, you know yourselves very well.It will work this way: The Right WingNuts will be allowed to register and post in the Right-Threaded Forum, and the Left WingNuts will be allowed to register and post in the Left-Threaded forum.

Creating multiple divisions where people all agree with each other isn't going to solve anything. How far are you going to slice the pie, when there's disagreements in the slip-on forum? Or factions in the right or left ones?
Libretarian? get government out of our life and be fiscally conservative?

Not purely... they have too many conspiracy nuts and kooky racists following them now a days. But in some ways yes... I agree with some of that. Its just that they have also strayed off their path. There are some things I look to the government to do that are collectively good and are social programs. We have a need to organize those for the common good. Such as public safety like police and fire. We all recognize its best to deal with these as a government organized tax paid function. I also see common defense and such as government functions. So I am not completely an anti Government nut either. Its why we formed one. I am for limited and responsible government that functions within its means.
I guess we need a "Stripped-Thread Forum" then. This is where you go if you don't agree with anybody in the other forums, but you won't be allowed to disagree with each other in this forum either! (Got to keep the "echo chamber" paradigm alive!)
Remember, the goal is to bed down with only "correct-thinking" individuals like yourselves. This way, everyone's happy.

While politics can get heated, some people take it way too personal. People that cannot talk things out are the ones that lead us to conflict that gets out of control. In the end we hopefully are on the same team. USA!
J&J - you are brilliant.
